Fireball Tim Blasts onto The Auto Channel Broadcast Network

“America’s Funniest Car Design Expert” Now on TACH-TV

AUTO CENTRAL – July 19, 2012: Fireball Tim Lawrence has brought his unique perspective of the automobile industry to The Auto Channel’s new broadcast television network, TACH-TV, via his humorous, quirky and informative short episodes. The videos typically range from five to seven minutes and explore all aspects of the car world: new car advertainments, personality interviews, aftermarket product previews, and event coverage.

“In a word, they’re fun,” said Bob Gordon, president and co-founder of The Auto Channel. “We had the opportunity to meet Fireball a few years ago at the Los Angeles Auto Show and feature him in a video we were shooting. We liked him and his whole style of presentation. We knew that if we ever got the chance to work with him on a regular basis that our audience would love him. Our new broadcast television network is the perfect venue for Fireball.”

The Fireball Tim segments will be a key component on TACH-TV’s daily “Car Show,” which is a compilation of short automotive news and entertainment videos from around the world.

“To us and our network, Fireball is like an Automotive Charlie Chaplin,” said Marc Rauch, The Auto Channel’s other co-founder. “He can become our shorts-star. Our brand of automotive programming will be much more personality driven and much more locally aligned than any other automotive related TV media outlet. Bob Gordon and I are real guys, not stuffed suits who just happened to find a good gig in something auto-related. We know cars, we know the industry, and we have fun reporting on it. Fireball Tim is the same; he is a good personification of what we are all about.”

Fireball Tim’s videos began appearing this past weekend on TACH-TV. New episodes will be added each week, which will be occasionally accompanied by previous episodes. The Auto Channel network currently broadcasts nine hours per day, seven days per week throughout most of South Florida. Additional station affiliates are expected to be added later this summer and then again at the end of the calendar year.
