Finally got around TO…

ts-twilight_poster

…seeing some movies that have come and gone. TWILIGHT, for instance is about a young girl who falls in love with a vampire. Um, ok. …Isn’t that a bit of a sticky situation? I mean, a werewolf might be better because you can walk around with them on a leash during the day. And they actually like garlic. ‘Course a silver bullet might present a problem, but who really has those nowadays anyway?

Another DAY AT THE SHOP will be posted tomorrow for those into cool cars. And we got some doozies this week. Okay, fine…. a vampire can be good too, but there’s the thing with all the blood right? I mean, they suck you till you’re like, … a dried up decrepidood! Don’t tell me that can be fun?

Recording THE HOLLYWOOD CAR SHOW Episode 23 today, finally. It will go live over the weekend. Sorry for the delay folks, but things are flying. Not like how a vampire flies, of course. I mean, bats are cool and all, but they can’t even see! And caves are cold, who wants that? And another thing… You live forever! Well, actually… that could be cool, I guess. As long as cool cars stay around. I’d be the world’s first driving blood sucker.

Sorry to get off track about all those pointless things like THCS and a day at the shop. Vampire stories are far more interesting. I mean, don’t mean to stray. Oh, and the movie was pretty good. For a vampire love story with no cars,… I mean.

Successs’ of the WEEK…

kim_kardashianIt’s important to acknowledge your accomplishments. It not only makes you feel like you achieved something, but fires you up for the next week. So,… here’s a few things that went right this week, ala “Take the first step, and the next will be revealed.”

1. Mr. Trash Man set out to eliminate things in the house that just sit around and collect dust, leading to painting my pantry and kitchen. Rooking good, mang.

2. Mr. Grand Marshall confirmed for the Huntington Beach Concours d’ Elegance that I is the Grand Marshall. What’s a Grand Marshall? Um,… I guess that will be revealed.

3. Mr. Speak a’ lot gave a Seminar at Ventura College with awesome students.

4. Mr. ? had a successful meeting on a new show we’re working on. No comment.

5. Mr. Surf ‘a lot sold a surfboard

6. Mr. Pad Thai had Thai food that was actually really good last night. The bad stuff “reveals” a new appreciation of the bathroom.

7. Mr. Freak Out got a call from Clear Channel inviting me to a party with the Kardashian Sisters at the Playboy Mansion. Ok, not really that big a deal. I mean, it’s just the Playboy Mansion for cryin’ out loud…

8. Mr. Poop didn’t step in any poop in my backyard all week. THAT, is an accomplishment!

So you see, there’s truly things to be grateful for this week. Tell me one of yours!

Clean it UP…

My not kitchen

Cool kitchen, eh? This past week or so, my wife and I have decided to spend a wee bit of cash on cleaning up and making things cool. So, off to the DI IT Center we went to buy paint and stuff. Now, when you’re faced with choosing color for the walls, it’s a big decision ’cause if you pick wrong, it looks weird. But,… who cares. When I pick a color for a wall, I go for broke all the way and pick something that’s bold and cool.

Once it’s done, I’ll post pix, but here’s my point. Life’s short. PICK BOLD, GO BOLD. And make your home as rockin’ cool as possible. Now, 2 rooms cost us about 2oo bucks. Not much for a facelift. Just a bit of elbow grease. And don’t forget to throw away all the crap that’s laying around collecting dust. Get rid of it and be clean. Also, incorporate as many green products as you can, like Aquasana. Best investment I ever made.

Why look at stains, ugly color, smudges and such when you can spend a weekend making your kitchen absolutely awesome. Paint it APPLE GREEN or AZURE BLUE or GOLDENROD. Then enjoy the feelings it give you.

So there. Oh, and this is not my kitchen. Mine’s much cooler now.

A day for the BOOKS…

dvd-high-speedWoke up about 5am to the sounds of sirens coming up my street. Plopped themselves right next door at friend, Jeff Jensen’s house. You know Jeff? We interviewed him on THCS months ago. Remember his story about being a Stuntman/Director  for the last 30 years? “Fall down, pick up check.” Well, after 17 surgerys on his know, he broke his own record. Now it’s 18. Poor guy, he was in severe pain.

After helping the paramedics with getting him down 3 fleights of stairs, we loaded him into the ambulance. This guy is tough, but breaking a femur is serious, and he did a great job. They took good care of him. For support, send you wishes to THCS blog posts and we’ll forward them on to him.

In the afternoon, I had lunch with my Pop and his buddy, Harold Gould. Who’s Harold Gould? Old time actor with a credit list a mile long. Funny guy. Then, I was off to give a Seminar at Ventura College.

Big thanks to Barbara Harvey for setting up the Seminar with the students. They were awesome.

Oh, and the movie of the week? “KNOWING,” with Nicolas Cage. Do it.

Cool cars… DUH…

GM's Nuclear powered Flying Mobile

Okay, so my buddy Alan and I wnet to the Petersen Automotive Museum last weekend or so to hear a talk about weird cars. But it ended up being a talk about green technology… to which none of these cars have. But… this is the Petersen. And if you know this museum, it’s got some of the coolest cars on the planet.

Check it. I’d lay my tush into any one of these rides. Wonder if they’d trade for the bag of gumballs I have in my office. They’re only a year old, but the flavor really lasts.

I’m just sayin.’

Easter KEESTER…

Sean and Fireball @ Stackeys

Ah, a day off to drive, eat with my family, drive some more, have ice cream, drive some more, hit my sister’s for more dessert, drop off my Dad, drive some more, hit the grocery store on the way back, drive some more, slide into the gas station, drive more, carve around others driving more as they cut you off and then flip the bird only to be pulled over by a chippy for cutting you off and flipping the bird,… as I smiled and headed home… Yup.

Oh, and we had Easter at Stackey’s in Summerland. Near Santa Barbara. Fish and Chips Couture. Awesome.

Hope everyone’s Easter was fun.
