What’s up at the Fireball pad this week?

It’s crazy time. Never, in all the years that I’ve been into cars has there been a more active period. It’s wild and 2010 is steppin’ up to the plate with tons of fun stuff. Although I can’t reveal too much in detail, (’cause I’ll be shot…) I can say that we have several possible builds in the works. Hm… howz about a list… to get me started so I can stay oorgonizzed?

1. I’d like to work with a major automotive manufacturer for a possible SEMA car. No, it’s not SMART. But something serious. BOOM!

2. I’d like to work with another big company on another build… for SEMA.Wait. Two? Am I nuts? DON’T ANSWER THAT!

3. How about develop a new TV Show that’s gonna be a blast? But we have to sell it first, duh. OKAY, BOOM!

4. All new Dragtracks are finally here! Gonna be playing with it at RCX. Plus, we’ll be joined by our friends at Sport Chassis. BIG BEASTY above…

5. So many events, I can’t even hold them all in my pea brain. But, after RCX, it’s “officially crazy time.”

6. How about working with a company that makes deliciousness? Edible cars? Nope, but nice guess.

7. And an all new episode of “WORLD OF CARS” coming next week!! Sweet! Look for it all over the web. Yes, it’ll be funny… and stupid… and… about cars!

8. New tattoo… Ouch. Should I skip that?  NO WAY, JOSE!!!!

All in all, not bad for the first 2 months of the year. I mean… if it all happens, right? If I’m gonna cause trouble, I might as well have fun along the way?

Back from Vegas and the word is…

AWESOME!!

As you can see by our faces, we were overwhelmed at all the cool stuff from this show. Hangin’ with buddies, SuperDesigner Carson Lev and the Chipmeister himself, Chip Foose, the 2010 Diecast SuperConvention was a fantastic show.

Big thanks to the Diecast Space Crew for putting on a spectacular event. CJ, Cullen, Crazy Frank, Jeff Glasson, Joe Kelly and his wife Casey and many more hardcore diecast doods and doodetts spent a great deal of time making sure everything was just right.

Looking forward to more shows just like it!!

The Diecast SuperCon DAY2…

Last night was the Diecast Space Hall of Fame induction ceremony. A fantastic awards show celebrating those who have done great work in the car world as Designers, Customizers and Historians.

Although it was just my time to watch and have a great time with buddies like Chip Foose, Carson Lev and Larry Woods, the show celebrated Diecast giants like Jeff Glasson from Saturday Nitro, Don “The Snake” Prudhomme, Dale Earnhardt Sr, Tom “Mongoose” McEwen, Miq Willmott and many others. Congratulations to all of them for keeping the sport of diecast cars alive and well.

It was really something to be a part of, with great legends of Hot Wheels, Johnny Lightning and many other cool brands. And big thanks to host Joe Kelly for doing such a fantastic job!

The Diecast SuperCon DAY1…

Wow, what insanity! You think people are crazy about their cars… Well, when it comes to diecast cars, they’re outta control!

We met a slew of cool people, including 12- year old Zac who did a cool drawing for me. Great vendors like CUSTOM CREW with their bitchin’ “Sledster,” and a whole host or custom diecast builders, designers (like Luis Tanahara and Michael Zarnock) and even Car Room Magazine. Even Jeff Glasson from Saturday Nitro scoured the floor takin’ pix.

Lots of companies premiered their lines, including Alien Projects “Dreamliner.” Some awesome stuff.

Big thanks to everyone at Diecast Space for havin’ me out… And check out the pix, por favor.

Here we GO!

Here it is folks! The week we’ve been waiting for. I leave Wednesday for the world’s greatest Diecast Expo. The 2010 Diecast SuperConvention put on by DiecastSpace.

It will be full of hot cars, hot deals and I’ll be there with such excitement that I’ll most likely fall off my chair! (I’ll need some help then, if you don’t mind…) But what a great show this is going to be! (Unless… I can’t get up. Whatever.)

Besides it being in Vegas, baby, there will be shows, races and all kinds of fun for everyone. Bring your kids, bring your mother-in-law! Okay, maybe not your mother-in-law, but maybe just her wallet…:-0 Oh! Snap!

I hope to see you there, …and make sure to come by my booth for a chance to get a FREE DIECAST and do some full on Timed Races on my new Track System! I’ll be premiered it there for the first time and then it will be available online smack after. It’s the coolest Diecast Track System on the Planet!

But for now… it’s a secret… GET TO VEGAS BEFORE THE WORLD IMPLODES!!

Fireball spots a Ferrari… CRUNCHED!

There I was, tooling around in a silly orange Camaro, when I hit traffic on PCH in Malibu. Why?

‘Cause some rich dood with a Ferrari decided to park right in the middle of the highway! Can’t you believe it!!??? I mean, the noive….

May have had something to do with the fact that he got WHAM, BAM THANKYOU MA’AM’D from the rear. I figure it’s about $50K work of work. Maybe I shoulda left my card?

FTE REELSPIN! BIG meeting today…

As you know, when you spin the reel, something good always comes out! So, it’s REELSPIN time… I hate this. I really do. When something exciting is happening, I just want to tell someone. But until it’s “fer sure,” I can’t. And that sucks.

But it’s a REELSPIN day. BIG meeting today with a BIG company doing  a BIG film. And if all goes well, FTE will play a BIG role. It’s really exciting and all I can say is that it involves cars. …Duh. Like anything I do wouldn’t…

So, 12 noon it is. But what the heck am I gonna do ’til then? I mean, now I’ve got to think of something else to do with cars for 5 1/2 hours! Yikes! Maybe I should wash my diecasts?

Fireball’s Alphabet of Awesomeness… The B’s

B. …B is a good letter. It stands for BITCHIN.’ Or maybe BOLONEY. Fried Boloney. Or how about BADASS. That’s a good one.

The word “be” suggests the present moment. As in “I be bitchin.” Which you KNOW you are. Not grammatically the best of usages, but hey, we’re car people and we say things like that.

So, here’s the best of the “B’s.” Not all of them, as the list would go on around the moon, but just a teaser. So, after you’ve checked them out… “Be positive and make something of your day.”

The B’s. Oh, and join in on my upcoming CAR SHOW in Huntington Beach.
