Universal is on the move again with “FAST FIVE.” They’ve inked deals with Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, director Justin Lin, screenwriter Chris Morgan (Tokyo Drift, Fast & Furious, Wanted), and producer Neal Moritz to smack the pedal to the plastic and lay the cool car smackdown. This time, it will follow Dom and Brian as they are chased by legendary lawmen.
Fast & Furious was Universal’s highest grossing film of last year at $343 million, so doing another one makes sense. NICE!
C…. Stands for cool. Or maybe crunchie. But seeing as how this is about cars, crunchie makes no sense whatsoever. Cool, eh? See how I just whipped that out?
Cars. Cartomobiles. Ooo. That’s a word. You ever wonder how car companies come up with their names? Like Continental? Corniche? Cordoba?
Wait. I’ve got one. … Cooltinental. And so… here are some Cooltinental C’s.
Name ‘em, and win a Million Doolareshlattens!!
B. …B is a good letter. It stands for BITCHIN.’ Or maybe BOLONEY. Fried Boloney. Or how about BADASS. That’s a good one.
The word “be” suggests the present moment. As in “I be bitchin.” Which you KNOW you are. Not grammatically the best of usages, but hey, we’re car people and we say things like that.
So, here’s the best of the “B’s.” Not all of them, as the list would go on around the moon, but just a teaser. So, after you’ve checked them out… “Be positive and make something of your day.”
The B’s. Oh, and join in on my upcoming CAR SHOW in Huntington Beach.
And so it begins…
With the alphabet comes cool cars across the globe. We begin with the A’s. If your name starts with an A, ends with an A, has an A in it or you just like the letter A ’cause it reminds you of Alphabet Soup, this post is for you… man.
Can you name them? I knew that you could…
Ahhh, yellow. I’m going to buy one of these when they show up at the dealership. I could ride it to SEMA in Vegas at night. That would be cool.
Oh, oh,… and I could stop for a Mountain Dew at a Del Taco drive-thru. OMG!!! Perfect color for this bike!!! (Course, with the helmet, it might be a challenge to slurp, but hey… those are the serious challenges of life.) Then… off to Vegas, baby. Who’s comin??
So. Contemplation time. Should I? Should I not? If only I had a flower to which I could yank pedals. Or a coin? Maybe rock, paper scissors?
I’m here at American Classic Cars, browsing. Browsing for an idea. An idea placed in my noggen from a new client that wants me to SLAM! CHOP! CUT! …AND DESIGN AWESOMENESS!!!!!!! Who’s the client? Oh, do tell….
Ok. Relax. Ommmmm…. Maybe a yogurt would help. Wait. I don’t really like yogurt. Why am I talking to myself all of a sudden? Ok. Get a grip. Just pick one, Fireball….
The orange hot rod here is only a million bucks. (Think I’ll skip that one.) Good. I’m pairing it down. Maybe something in the $3.99 range? Maybe something different than a Hot Rod? Maybe…
What will I do with it when I get it and bring it to the shop? :-0
“Something wicked this way comes….”
The latest CVS project is PRIEST. Just completed. (You won’t see it yet in the categories, but there’s other cool stuff) Can’t say what we built exactly, but one thing is for sure. IT’S OUTTA CONTROL COOL! And since cars are our thing… wait a second, did I say car? What I meant to say was… wups. Nope, I can’t say that either.
Let’s just say it’s got wheels. And it’s BADASS. Also building tons of cars for 24, CSI MIAMI and a few others. Wait a tick? It’s Saturday! I gotta go have fun! Later…
All kinds of new stuff at THE HOLLYWOOD GARAGE for the Holidays. Sport some MAD MOVIE CARS and be stylin!’
Yea, big day on the MOVIE CAR front. My buddy, Fly, and his cohort Pat Devereux from TOP GEAR Magazine came by the shop to shoot some stuff for an upcoming issue. They be awesome… (Hope I didn’t break the camera.)
Also, first trailer for Disney’s SORCERER’S APPRENTICE featuring a beauty Rolls Royce built by CVS. Sweet ride that morphs into something else. Looks like a good flick. I’m wiped.
Woo hoo! Today, I’m heading to the shop for more than just playing with cars. Today, TOP GEAR MAGAZINE is coming to do a feature. My buddy and photodood extraordinaire, FLY, is shootin’ some pix of MOVIE CARS, CUSTOMS and other nonsense we have layin’ around.
