Cars as a metaphor to SUCCESS?

Icicles

Heck yea!

Why do I love cars? They MOVE me. In more ways than one. Now, let’s consider this for our Monday morning. Ready?

Cars take us from place to place. Increasing our experience. Expanding our knowledge of the world and ourselves. (That’s why I always like to take new roads.) But, cars are based in ACTION, EXCITEMENT, ANTICIPATION and many other words that represent movement. And we don’t get squat unless we get off our butt and move.

Depressed? Having a bad day? Stop whining and MOVE. Get busy, dangit.

Close your eyes. Design your day, then LIVE IT. And get a cool car ’cause it helps;-)

Oh, and the book for the week? Prentice Mulford’s “THOUGHT ARE THINGS.”

Go get ‘em, killer!

Automotive Social Network HELL…

Or heaven as the case may be….

I was talking with my super cool Webguy, Don Burnside, the other day, mentioning how I spend a lot of time talking with people online. Hundreds actually. And when you deal with that many people, things have to go easy. Really easy.

But, some of the ASN’s (Automotive Social Networks) suck bigtime. (Check Don out btw, he’s awesome if you need a lightning fast and easy website!) It can be frustrating to find a network that is cool, and with cool cars, …and is USER FRIENDLY. The last thing you need is to see a really sweet ride and want to make a really sweet comment …only to have the network do a brain fart.

Yea, I know it’s a complex concern, but there IS an answer…

I stick with the ones that work good and fast, are designed well so that I can see the bitchin’ machines easily, and especially the ones where the people have good attitudes. My favorites are,… the newbie FUELTOPIA in Europe, STREETFIRE and Facebook. And of course, right smack here at Car Domain. (Come by and check out the others, though.)

Fueltopia is a great group of folks that love cars and causin’ a wee bit of trouble across the pond. Some seriously cool rides, but a great interface that’s easy and fun to use. Streetfire has the best videos on the web, including crashes and all around stupid car tricks and Facebook is just plain easy to use and to create a page. For yourself or even for your car! And that’s Cool.

Sharing your rides is the culture. People love to be inspired by car coolness, which is a big reason why I like meeting people and experiencing their passions. get your ride online and show it to the world. It’s what we do.

Fireball recommends…

Hot Rod Spirit Rover

So, in the evenings before dinner, I like to check and update my Netflix. Jostle things around, delete, add, wonder why I picked certain things at all. And most of it is just lame. I must have been on drugs when I picked them. (Caffeine mostly…)

But sometimes I like to randomly snag movies that I never had a chance to see or even remember coming out. And this is one of them. A great IMAX film about 2 Hot Rod Landers (Spirit and Opportunity) that headed to Mars. Unbeleivable CG work makes you wonder why anything in film should be bad) Created by Frank Marshall, the film depicts two of the most incredibly designed JPL Rovers that truly feature the strength of the human spirit.

It’s short, like most IMAX films, but there’s a good “Behind the Scenes,” too. (Maybe a Hot Rod version could be cool to build and tool around town? “Although, it would have to be at least a four seater and sporting 22’s.)

I recommend it because it’s something that all of us should see, simply in order to get a real perspective on how small we are. We struggle every day to make ends meet and face new challenges when to realize the sheer scope of the universe makes those things seem a little less daunting. So in between Friday the 13th, Transformers and Fired Up, put this one in your queue. Cool.

Disaster on the HOMESTEAD…

Most people say that when their house is a mess, it’s usually because there’s dishes, clothes and items not in their proper place. But, at MY house, it’s all because of my wife. Now you’re saying, “TIM! How can you say that about your wife??” Well, it’s because she BUILDS COSTUMES for a living. KCL.

Here, let me take you on a conceptual tour…

Kathie gets a new client. In this case, it’s Director Justin Harder. A very cool dood with a vision for cool costumes doing cool things for FUELTV. 4 Costumes. A ROCK MAN, a ABOMINABLE SNOWMAN, a PAVE MAN and an OCTOPUS MAN. So… here we are, Kathie building these 4 costumes in the back of the house where her shop is. And they ARE cool. (Photos later when their done.)

So, as she and her crew sculpt, carve, cast, mold, tweak, slam, poke and cut up these costumes, our two pooches (Bug and Sammy) steal the pieces that fall on the ground and bring them into the house to play with. And thus, the disaster begins. They chew string, rope, foam, fabric (Even on me!). EVERYTHING becomes a chew toy! And you want to get mad, right? I mean, steaming… But,…

How can you look at those faces and get mad? Maybe I should just join them…

Is it hot out there, or is it MOVIE TIME??

I just came back from watching DARK KNIGHT. Despite its length, that movie was severely intense. I’ll go more into it on next week’s “HOLLYWOOD CAR SHOW” Podcast, but for now, here are some cool upcoming flicks. Hope to see a lot of you at MINI Takes The States tomorrow at the famous Rose Bowl!!

What goes around, comes, BACK…

le-badge.jpg

As you build out a business, not everything is going to work. At least, not in the way you expect sometimes. That’s why it’s important to step away for a bit of time, then re-visit the concept. Is it really worth doing? A lot of driving this week, out to Cinema Vehicles as they work on Knight Rider, structure a new twist on the Limited Edition Program and Design Tattoos for CarTatts. Fun work.

For all the successful ventures I’ve been into, there are three times as many that haven’t worked. But the point is, you keep going. Believe in what you’re trying to build and take strong steps to achieve it. You noticed I said “Believe.” If you believe it, you’ll see it. That’s the Law of the Universe.

Visualize. Believe. Conceive. …and add some cool cars to that to make a kickass CarMartini.

Something to be PROUD of…

 esmagcover1.jpg

No, this isn’t real. But, it IS cool though, eh?

Sometimes I get inspired to just do something weird. Okay, some might say that EVERYTHING I do is weird, but I beg to differ. There’s weird, then there OUTTA CONTROL WEIRD. But, seeing as how there’s all kinds of things going on my my life, I figured I do a magazine. Well, just the cover at least. Some funny things that might happen.

Many people talk about putting your goals down on paper. I like to SEE my goals. I mean, do a Green Bentley? Wouldn’t that be AWESOME!!!?? A really cool Emerald Paint Scheme with a Style Lime Pinstripe. Crusin’ around in style with NO EMISSIONS!!! Okay, some day. But for now, I want to see my goals. So, I’ll be posting the cover of my mag every so often just for the heck of making my goals a real deal. I encourage it. Seeing yourself as you want to be and acting as if it’s real is a very strong message to the universe that you ain’t messin’ around.

And doesn’t Kathie look cool? This is her first Black Belt with many more coming. Maybe she’ll turn into a Ninja? Then she could sneak into the Bentley Dealership and snag me one of those puppies…

Be an ENTREPRENEUR…

 whalesub.jpg

Wow, that’s a hard word to spell without a DIXSHUNARRY…

What does it mean to be an entrepreneur?  Basically, it’s someone who runs around doing all kinds of cool things, thinking up cool stuff that he’d love to do, and inspiring others to do the same. Or something like that, right? Now, I design cars, do silly TV and web shows, talk to kids around the country and preach about health. Things I like to have in my life and figure out a way for you to do the same. Case in point…

Fireball Fuel. I created this Nutritional Product with Biometics for a lot of reasons. Most people would say that I just wanted to make money. Well, I won’t lie as money is a factor in all our lives and we need it to survive and do more of what we love. But if that were the case, I could have created candy bars, and honestly make MORE money. But the real reasons for creating something healthy is this…

You can’t enjoy yourself if you feel like crap all the time. Technical enough for you? I mean, people are sick. Really sick. They eat terrible and wonder why they never have any energy. Plus, when you feel poorly, you think poorly. In fact, some would say that feeling poorly is a direct result of thinking poorly. So, I got together with my friends at Biometics and said that we really need to create something that makes people feel good. And when you feel good, you can do more.

Honestly, the message here is simple. And the picture is larger than it seems. I don’t really care if you buy Fireball Fuel. What I want you to do is stop treating yourself like a trash can and dumping crap into it. This is the only body you’ve got and like you car, if you put in bad stuff, you get bad performance. Simple. So, if you have a product that you like and it works, good for you. If you’re looking for something, then get out there and find it. Whatever it is. And then share it with everyone else.

I love cars. But more than that. I’d love to hear that you’re taking care of yourselves.

And back to being an Entrepreneur, Fireball Fuel is set up so that you can sell it yourself as well. A chance to give people something that makes them feel good. Plus make more money so that you can take that trip to Aruba. get in on something that makes a difference in the right direction and for the right reasons. That will cause you to “think” in the right way.

Today’s book recommendation. Charles Haanel’s THE MASTER KEY SYSTEM.
