It’s crazy time. Never, in all the years that I’ve been into cars has there been a more active period. It’s wild and 2010 is steppin’ up to the plate with tons of fun stuff. Although I can’t reveal too much in detail, (’cause I’ll be shot…) I can say that we have several possible builds in the works. Hm… howz about a list… to get me started so I can stay oorgonizzed?
1. I’d like to work with a major automotive manufacturer for a possible SEMA car. No, it’s not SMART. But something serious. BOOM!
2. I’d like to work with another big company on another build… for SEMA.Wait. Two? Am I nuts? DON’T ANSWER THAT!
3. How about develop a new TV Show that’s gonna be a blast? But we have to sell it first, duh. OKAY, BOOM!
4. All new Dragtracks are finally here! Gonna be playing with it at RCX. Plus, we’ll be joined by our friends at Sport Chassis. BIG BEASTY above…
5. So many events, I can’t even hold them all in my pea brain. But, after RCX, it’s “officially crazy time.”
6. How about working with a company that makes deliciousness? Edible cars? Nope, but nice guess.
7. And an all new episode of “WORLD OF CARS” coming next week!! Sweet! Look for it all over the web. Yes, it’ll be funny… and stupid… and… about cars!
8. New tattoo… Ouch. Should I skip that? NO WAY, JOSE!!!!
All in all, not bad for the first 2 months of the year. I mean… if it all happens, right? If I’m gonna cause trouble, I might as well have fun along the way?
This time, from Robert Rodriguez…
In the spirit of the RCX Show coming up next weekend, thought I’d post a little Delorean Action from this “World of Cars” episode…
Fireball’s Tim’s WORLD OF CARS – DELOREAN!
Bikes, Cars, Girls, ACTION! Like, does a movie need anything else? Ok fine… someone get the popcorn.
Today is Oscar day. What the heck was I thinking by going to Hollywood for my son’s birthday yesterday to see “Alice in Wonderland?” He’s 22.
Well, we do things like that. Insane Traffic. Insane Parking. Insane People. And… Insane Movie! It was awesome btw. But they were setting up Hollywood Blvd for the Oscars, bigtime.
Walking the streets of Hollywood at this time is a radical experience. Coming out on the plastic covered red carpet at the Kodak Theater to see all the Press was nuts. And all waiting for me, no less! Not. Kathie was trying to call my agent, saying that I wasn’t even informed! The noive…. But they we’re getting ready for the biggest show on the planet which airs today. And who’s my fav? Avatar, duh.
Alice in Wonderland in 3D was spectacular. Tim Burton really pulled it off this time. See it. Live it. But don’t smoke it. Afterwards, we headed off to Culver City for some cool Mexican at Kay and Dave’s.
Today for Oscar? Big ass party.
Holy cow, this is the best thing to happen in diecast since,… well, the first diecast car!!! I’m so excited about this new system that I can’t wait until I can pop it outta the box and play with it myself! And… I HAVE! Check it out!
We revealed a prototype at the Diecast Convention in Vegas over the weekend and it was a huge success, so you guys have to check it out. There’s nothing out there like it, and when I say it’s just like REAL DRAG RACING.. I mean it! Even Chip and I did the drags. Who won? Not gonna say… Ok fine, he laid the smackdown… but I couldn’t beat the Chipster, right?
Head to my all new website and check out the super cool DRAGTRACKS system. Whether you’re a kid, adult, or somewhere in between, you’re gonna have a blast!!
And don’t miss out on becoming a Dragtracks Fan on Facebook!!!
Headed down towards LAX to meet with some doods from the Phillipines. Why? Can’t say just yet, …as it’s something really awesome. But I was in a Starbucks and was approached by cool Fireball fan, Sergio Lopreiato. Sergio is Vice President of Cielo Enterprises in Pasadena. They do awesome things for the environment, and… he and his son dig cars and have been watching “World’s Most Expensive Rides.” Cool.
Thanks for watchin,’ Sergio!!
AWESOME!!
As you can see by our faces, we were overwhelmed at all the cool stuff from this show. Hangin’ with buddies, SuperDesigner Carson Lev and the Chipmeister himself, Chip Foose, the 2010 Diecast SuperConvention was a fantastic show.
Big thanks to the Diecast Space Crew for putting on a spectacular event. CJ, Cullen, Crazy Frank, Jeff Glasson, Joe Kelly and his wife Casey and many more hardcore diecast doods and doodetts spent a great deal of time making sure everything was just right.
Looking forward to more shows just like it!!
Last night was the Diecast Space Hall of Fame induction ceremony. A fantastic awards show celebrating those who have done great work in the car world as Designers, Customizers and Historians.
Although it was just my time to watch and have a great time with buddies like Chip Foose, Carson Lev and Larry Woods, the show celebrated Diecast giants like Jeff Glasson from Saturday Nitro, Don “The Snake” Prudhomme, Dale Earnhardt Sr, Tom “Mongoose” McEwen, Miq Willmott and many others. Congratulations to all of them for keeping the sport of diecast cars alive and well.
It was really something to be a part of, with great legends of Hot Wheels, Johnny Lightning and many other cool brands. And big thanks to host Joe Kelly for doing such a fantastic job!
Wow, what insanity! You think people are crazy about their cars… Well, when it comes to diecast cars, they’re outta control!
We met a slew of cool people, including 12- year old Zac who did a cool drawing for me. Great vendors like CUSTOM CREW with their bitchin’ “Sledster,” and a whole host or custom diecast builders, designers (like Luis Tanahara and Michael Zarnock) and even Car Room Magazine. Even Jeff Glasson from Saturday Nitro scoured the floor takin’ pix.
Lots of companies premiered their lines, including Alien Projects “Dreamliner.” Some awesome stuff.
Big thanks to everyone at Diecast Space for havin’ me out… And check out the pix, por favor.
