REVIEW: 245hp 2018 HYUNDAI SONATA…

It used to be that $4K was cheap to buy a car. Now, $23K is cheap. But by the definition of cheap, there are many cars that embody it’s true essence. Hyundai is not one of them…

When you get into a Hyundai, any Hyundai, although the design language may not be off the chart and aggressive, one thing is for sure… it’s about build quality. HThey are as solid as they come and so is this 2018 Hyundai Sonata.

You can challenge its lack of personality with it’s Machine Gray exterior or simple black-gray interior. You can challenge its lack of excitement. But what you have to give credit to Hyundai’s for is that they are amazingly well made cars.

That’s not to say that there aren’t lemons out there, but since I get more cars than most, I see it all. And at this point, I’ve driven tons of Hyundais.

28 City, 37 highway, this just under $23K sedan marks another notch in Hyundai’s commitment to creating a great product. From 178hp up to 245hp, there’s a range that will get you where you need to go comfortably. You can read a ton of other reviews all about the specs, but here on fireballtim.com, we concentrate on design.

The Sonata in gray isn’t what you would want to write home to Mom about, although she’d be happy you’re in something safe. But get one in Black or Red, black-out the wheels and windows, pump some tunes and you have an instant sweet ride.

It’s slick and comes with every option you’d need for a Vegas weekend. No bones about it… the 2018 Hyundai Sonata is the wise choice in a sea of sedans.
