Today’s Automotive Inspiration… CAUSE first, then EFFECT

It’s hard to understand. We look at ACTIONS as being the cause of things, then the effects come from it. But Actions are the result of our THOUGHTS. The cause is always the THOUGHT first. Then, you do the action based on the idea you get.

Thought >> Action >> Effect. It’s as simple as that.

So, the point is… If you think badly, your actions will result in poor choices, therefore, bad EFFECTS.

Then you say, “Well, Fireball! What do I do?” Well, I’m glad you asked…

All you have to do is choose good thoughts and do THE RIGHT THING. And “The Right Thing” is always surrounded in love.

The more you practice, the more you’ll interject love into everything you do. For example, my personal policy is that I wouldn’t say anything about someone that I wouldn’t say to their face. It’s very easy to talk badly about someone when they aren’t there.

CAUSE: A neighbor the other night decided at 1am that she was going to tow a car that was partially blocking her garage door. (Her thought resulted in the decision to do this) So she called the cops and a tow truck.

She didn’t need the spot as she was just sitting on her balcony with friends having wine. A lot of wine… and she was just irritated. (BAD THOUGHTS) What she didn’t care about was that the car belonged to the neighbor across the street, which she knew but didn’t want to wait until morning.

A very gentle man who came home sick at midnight with no place to park and intended to move it first thing in the morning so he could go straight back to work. But she didn’t bank on the effect of her selfish thoughts…

EFFECT: The entire neighborhood awoke to the sound of police, a tow truck and her yelling.

All because she couldn’t wait ’til morning to take action or… JUST LET IT GO. IF, there was any action to take. She wanted that truck gone NOW.

I awoke at 1:30am, dogs barking, saw what was happening and went across the street to tell the man that he better move. A ticket and a tow would have been over $600. He was sick with the flu as well but moved it despite that. My thoughts were based in LOVE.

A week later, the woman he lived with brought me a huge basket of chocolate in thanks. Informed me that had he lost his truck, he would not only not been able to afford to get it back, but he wouldn’t be able to go to work or pick up his kids from school. And he loves his kids.

Now, you may say… that he shouldn’t have parked there and he deserved it. Maybe. But I say… our thoughts decide whether something is a mountain or a mole hill. Looking out for each other brings peace and happiness. What we all strive to have in our lives. You have to choose wisely if you want a life of good.

Do good things for people and good comes to you. Try and practice this today by opening the way for people. You’ll be happy that you did.

Oh, and the neighbor that made all the fuss? She was forced to move due to a severe financial crisis. EFFECT.

Automotive Inspiration… CRITICISM KILLS

People are addicted to a lot of things. Cigarettes, drinking, drugs, anger, bad driving.. and many others. But none of that comes close to the one thing that hurts them the most.

When you criticize others, you don’t realize that the Law of Cause and Effect immediate goes to work.

You think that somehow it’s making you feel better to lay down your thoughts about someone that’s wronged you, …but YOU’D be wrong.

The reality is that you are attracting to YOU moreof the same. More things to criticize. More in-harmonies. More negativity. More of everything you DON’T want.

This is not a joke. This is LAW.

Why would you criticize someone if you knew that every time you did, you’d get smacked in the face with a huge boxing glove. Literally. Every time, only for every 1 criticism, you actually get hit 100 times!! Think about that. 100 smacks in the face!

The Law of Cause and Effect works the same way that 1+1=2 works. Same way every time, no variation. Think THIS, get THAT. ALWAYS… It’s science.

So… what do you do?

1. Let it go. Drop it. DROP IT. DROP IT, NOW. Stop criticizing… And get on with making YOUR LIFE cool.

2. Stay in the present… be grateful for what you have. Send them good thoughts so that they can attract to them good things, too. You want people to be happy. All people, not just you.

Don’t be selfish. That’s what got you into trouble in the first place. Help them by being first.

3. Criticism = Pain for YOU, not them. They aren’t even in the room!

Attract to you what you want. ONLY THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU WANT. And then? … It comes.

Automotive Inspiration… Everything is VIBRATION

Everything vibrates.

Wait, let me say that again… EVERYTHING vibrates. Including YOU.

You can feel it. When you’re angry, sad, energized. It’s all the protons and electrons inside you that are whirling. Whirling at different vibratory rates, according to what you’re feeling. And the REALLY interesting part??

As you vibrate, you become “in tune” with similar vibrations outside of you, attracting them to you like a Magnet. Get it? ISN’T THAT COOL? Ok, here’s a simple example…

You’re pissed. Someone cut you off on the highway, screamed that it was your fault and then ran off. You’re mad.

Pretty soon, you’re cursing that dood. What an a-hole. Then, somehow, a minute later you’re talking about something completely different, yet in the same negative way.

Your Mother-In-Law, you sister, your kook brother, you job, other a-holes, whatever. If you keep along that pattern, that vibration, THOUGHTS will keep coming to you to support it! Why???

Because you’re telling your subconscious that that’s what you want. And your subconscious does whatever you tell it. Period. So? What do you do?

1 – Put yourself on the right vibratory pattern.

2 – Think about only that which you want for today.

3 – Feel how good that feels to actually have those things.

Then, your VIBRATION will change to that rate. It will emanate out… and it will bring back MORE THINGS to support that thought and vibration.

Remember, it’s SCIENCE. It MUST work this way and will ALWAYS work this way.

1+1 is ALWAYS 2. Think positive, get positive results… ALWAYS. So, why would you do things to hurt yourself? Especially, now that you know the answer?

You wouldn’t. So make the experiment. Just for today. And let THE VLOG know what happens….

Watch your automotive world change through more money, better health, better relationships. Watch as you become HAPPY.

Automotive Inspiration… HOW TO AVOID DRAMA

Automotive Inspiration… HOW TO AVOID DRAMA

It’s a PROBLEM… only if you think it’s a PROBLEM.

… and it’s not.

Buying into drama is poisonous. Whether it be gossip, potential disaster or whatever. When you jump on the drama band wagon, you’re only hurting yourself in the eyes of CAUSE and EFFECT.

Thoughts become things. You think a negative thought about someone… it comes back to you in a dramatic boomerang. Only multiplied.

Steer clear of problems by not acknowledging themever.

Concentrate on resolve and peace. Have faith that the answer comes easily and with perfection for everyone. And… IT WILL.

CAUSE: Thoughts of a mountain… or a molehill.

EFFECT: Mountains of problems …or peace. Your choice.

Today’s Automotive Inspiration… ASK, FAITH, RECEIVE

“…I need a Parking Spot.” That’s what I say.

CAUSE: I was helping my wife Kathie, as she was building a new costume for The Ellen DeGeneres Show yesterday.

She needed some very specific materials that I could only get in downtown LA. So, off I went on an adventure. Half way there, I said… “Parking Spot God, I need a Parking Spot…” and I need it right in front of the shop that had the materials.

Only…. I wasn’t sure which shop it was, only the block. Oh, one more thing… I asked for a meter that had time on it ’cause I didn’t have any change.

EFFECT: I hit downtown, straight to the block where I might find what I was looking for. Although, I didn’t WORRY about the parking space.

I passed the block where I thought the store was and BEHOLD! …No spaces. So, I drove around the block, cultivating my faith that a space would appear. I KNEW it would.

As I went around the block for a second time, I curiously looked down the street that I went down before… AND THERE IT WAS. Suddenly, an empty spot, right in the middle of the block.

Now, those of you who have been to Downtown LA, know that spots are impossible.

I immediately SQUEALED into the spot and went the meter. On it was 5 minutes left. FREE PARKING, THANK YOU.  And facing my car, was the store where I’d find what I needed. And what I needed was RIGHT OUT FRONT. Red Fleece for the costume.

A man was standing there, scissors in hand as if waiting for me. He cut the fleece, I handed him the dough and I was back in my car in less that 2 minutes flat.

I was on the freeway going back home before I realized all the small events that occurred thanks to the Infinite.

This is not coincidence. Ask, don’t doubt, and you shall RECEIVE.

Today’s Automotive Inspiration… Forming GOOD HABITS

Do it Yourself. That’s the name of the game. And I’m is here to help…

First off, what is a HABIT?

“A habit is a continued action of a specific kind over and over. A formation.”

Start by continued THINKING in a certain way… this starts to form a “Thought Habit.”

Continued DWELLING on this idea until it’s the most dominate thing you think about… and it produces a “PERMANENT IDEA.” Like a cool car. And if it’s an idea that you LOVE, then it’s simple. Like a new Girlfriend, bitchin’ ride, trip of success idea.

If you let your imagination loose to dwell on this permanent idea as often as possible, backing it with every action you can think of… it becomes an “OBSESSION.”

So, what’s the answer to form good habits, knowing that physical habits start as thoughts?

Be conscious to DWELL only on ideas that make you HAPPY. Ideas that you LOVE. Let them consume you. Think about them, talk about them, email about them, social network about them. Drive them… And guess what?

They’ll become YOU.

AUTOMOTIVE INSPIRATION is… Sharing life’s ride with those around us

Originally published in the Malibu Surfside News

As I’ve mentioned many times in this article over the last five years, I get the pleasure of taking unique people to unique places on my show that we shoot here in town. This past week, I got to do something really fun.

There are many cool automotive places in L.A. many people don’t know about and a good part of our show Fireball Malibu Vlog is to reveal those places and help expand our love of cars. So this week, I grabbed legendary “Leave It To Beaver” actor Tony Dow and his wife Lauren, met up at the new Caffe Luxxe for an amazing cup of joe and headed up PCH to the Murphy Auto Museum in Oxnard.

Now, if you didn’t know about the Murphy, I wouldn’t be surprised. But with our help, you’ll get a chance to peruse some of the coolest nostalgic cars that ever were. Head honcho David Neel runs the place and you can see him easily at a distance as he moves classic cars, muscle cars and even vintage trailers from spot to spot for coming weekend shows.

But the Murphy is different than most car museums, as it’s also an automotive storage facility. As in, if you have a cool car with no place to put it, you can rent some space where they not only keep your car clean, but share your perfect gem in a museum setting.

Other things Tony, Lauren, Ken Vela from WIKD Kustoms, my wife and I caught wind of were the classic Schwinn Bicycles, massive HO Scale Trail Set, tons of walk-in vintage trailers and a back shop where several classics were being worked on. Also, some great art on the walls from automotive designer, friend and confidant Mark Stehrenberger.

I’m very grateful to call David a friend and we’ve done many things together. I get a chance to drive cars from this museum down into Malibu for the car shows here in town, including my own, but also have had the opportunity to experience a massive Vintage Trailer Camp-out in Buellton in September with a great group with over 195 trailers.

But the day at the Murphy also included Tony driving two classic cars, thanks to David. An Avanti and amazing Dodge Fastback. Be sure to check out our show to see what we did, and if you love cool cars, let me know so we can take a spin by visiting

Much appreciation goes to the Murphy and all the docents — like Ken —  who make the place an enjoyable experience. Be sure to check out to see when the shows go off. From Air Cooled Vdubs and Corvairs to Studebakers, this place is a nostalgic car lover’s dream garage.

And if there are any of you celebs out there who want to take a spin with me to one of these cool spots, just reach out. I just took actor Jonathan Banks to The Automobile Driving Museum a week ago, but there’s also the Petersen, The Metropolitan Pit Stop, The English Car Company and many more. All you have to do is ask. Until then, I’ll keep driving.

AUTOMOTIVE INSPIRATION… Think Coolness, and Coolness Comes

We’re all busy, busy, busy. So busy that we sometimes forget what the original intent of Summer actually means. So, let’s take a ride in the Rescue Boot to remind ourselves of what giving coolness really means.

Malibu is a town of thinkers. Really great thinkers. We think of movies, TV shows, cars, clothes, pup rescues and many other cool things. We’re creativity experts and love what we do.

But, somehow, Summer get earmarked for giving when we should be giving year-round. And many Malibuites do, but as important as it is to do good things, it’s even more important to think good thoughts. That, of course, leads to the doing of good things. And the Rescue Boot is here to help.

We don’t need to rescue each other, we need to rescue ourselves. To be better people for Summer and year-round, we must provide for ourselves the idea of becoming advancing people. An advancing town. A town that loves growth and expansion.

And the only way to do that is to give more of ourselves. I’m not talking about giving money — unless you want to send me a check, I’m cool with that — but I’m talking about reaching out with our minds and saying that “we can.”

Life is a ride. A ride we all can enjoy and flourish in. But, like airplanes as they fly to Hawaii, they’re pretty much 99 percent off course and have to be pulled back and straightened out constantly so they get to where they’re going. But if you don’t know what you want, you’ll never get there and fly around forever. Not good.

Point? Make a commitment this Summer to give yourself the best gift you can. Convince yourself that whatever dream you may have, know that you can achieve it. And in being your best, you’ll inspire others to do so, too.

My Rescue Boot and it’s critters work as a team as we do here in the Bu. Let’s not be afraid of each other and show other cities how we can work together to make this ride the best it can be and launch into 2018 with the desire for more coolness.

Put on your favorite flip-flops and head out today into an advancing world. A world that you create. And know that the only truth is what you decide and choose in your thoughts. Join The Rescue Boot and kick some life rump. Make the most of the Summer by making your Ride the coolest ever.

The True Purpose of THE CAR…

Here we go again…

I’m going to ask you to take a little ride with me as we explore the meaning of the word “Drive.” A very appropriate word indeed which is why it’s this week’s Ride.

OK, let’s define the purpose of a car. If is were in Webster’s Dictionary, it would say “Vehicular Contraption used to Transport Coolness.” So true. But, if on the surface level the car is meant for transportation and that’s clear, let’s head a little deeper.

If we use cars to move, then everything changes around us. Scenery, Sounds, Smells. Everything.

And that can be awesome, but what doesn’t change is you. You are trapped in this box and like it or not, you’re gonna have to stay in it for a bit. Why not use it for something really cool…er?

Now you’re saying, “Where is this Fireball going? What’s he talking about?” “Did I forget to change my underwear today?” (Ok, not the last one, but…) There’s a point here, so stay with me. Because you’re basically a captive audience in your car, you actually have some choices.

You can listen to music, make a hands-free phone call or you can think. Ah-ha! Thinking is the last thing on people’s minds (Weird, eh?) because it requires you to either flow with the stream of thought (easy-peasy) or actually make a choice as to what you want to think about.

Life is made up of choices. And the quality of your choices manifests as things in your life.

Driving cars has great potential for thinking as it keeps you in the moment. You do have to pay attention to the act of driving, but instead of grumbling as to why things are not working in your life, next time you go out, consciously decide to solve something.

Be persistent and determined that you will solve this issue before you get to where you’re going.

Driving has a potential to be good therapy. You get to choose where you want to go and what your experience will be like in getting there. But you have to choose wisely and not just run with the random stream and start worrying about stuff. Learn to let go.

Don’t get caught up in problems, but make an effort to solve something.

I do this daily which is why I love to drive. I look forward to thinking and solving issues or being creative. By the time I get to where I’m going, I’m jacked to be there even if it’s to go pick up Cashew Milk, Vegan Chorizo and a super-fat bar of chocolate.

The true purpose of a car isn’t to just get you someplace. It’s to give you the gift of the present. And we here in Malibu, we get this gift of Beauty daily, even in traffic. But you’ll miss it all if you don’t raise your awareness to what’s around you.

Be grateful that although you may be in traffic, the homes, beach and hills are all here to lend a hand in making your world wonderful. Let them do their job and don’t blow them off.

Drive cool and watch as your experiences improve. You’ll be glad you did.

AUTOMOTIVE INSPIRATION… The Secret to Car Wealth (First published in The Malibu Surfside News)

Yeah, I knew that headline would get your attention. Anytime someone mentions that they have a secret formula for making money and getting wealthy, people flock like squirrels to fat nuts. It’s the special elixir… the grand poobah… the money-master-secret-blaster all-around lottery locker. (I like that one.)

But come on… There as many formulas to getting wealthy as there are people on the planet and reading another get rich quick article isn’t going to do anyone any good. So, let’s talk cars.

Or maybe money and cars, so that way we can figure out a cool plan for driving awesomeness or at least thinking about it.

OK, wait. Thinking about it? What does that mean? Are you saying, Fireball, that if you think about something, it can become real? Like thinking about an Enzo and suddenly you’re driving one? Or how about thinking about a spaghetti dinner and suddenly, someone throws a noodle at you and it sticks to your forehead? Well, it’s all possible.

Malibu is an amazing town and I love it. But there’s a fundamental reason why. People here know how to think properly. Not everyone, but most Malibuites.

But what does it mean to think properly and how does that apply to the photo for this article? It doesn’t. It’s just a cool photo I took at my show Wheels and Waves and I wanted to share it. But, the “real” reason that successful people congregate here is because they realize that before your dream can come true, you have to see it in your mind first. It has to be clear. Crystal clear.

But that’s not enough. Having a clear picture is good, but add the caffeine to that — or the additional octane — is believing that you can actually have it. This is a tough one for people. They have a good picture — like my photo — but they don’t really think it’s possible. That’s hurdle No. 2.

OK, let’s recap: No. 1 is knowing what you want and No. 2 is believing you can actually have the awesome classic Caddy.

OK, so you do believe it? Really? Well, that’s awesome too and I’ll give you a doughnut with sprinkles later. But the third and final thingamajig is this. Listen closely.

The one thing you can’t do is chip away at it with dought. It’s like planting a seed and digging it up every few days to see if it’s growing. Not good. Chipping away are the doubts, fears, Dr. No’s and butchers who tell you how difficult it’s going to be or that you’re not being realistic. I love that word, “realistic.” Like who in this town has ever been realistic.

The point is, if you don’t get in the way of success, you actually get success. You have to eliminate all the Malibu road signs, bumps, curbs, stop signs and lame excuses. It’s an open road to your dreams. So just drive.

What? No actual Ride of the Week? Are you kidding? Well,… I just took you on one. The rest, is up to you.
