CATALINA is a relaxed and visual feast…

So, a week or so ago I took my squeeze and my Pop to Catalina. A small Island off the coast of SoCal. Like Italy’s coast, like Capri, like… well, like Catalina. It was a visual feast if I do say so and we spent a great deal of time just meandering, eating and checking out the rides of choice… the Golf Cart. Although there were many others…

Getting out and seeing the world isn’t really more than seeing things in your own town… if you learn to look for them. Beauty is everywhere, but it’s in your choice to see it. So choose wisely and reap the rewards, baby. Oh, and the Ice Cream was pretty good, too.

An electric WEEKEND…

I do a lot. I mean, a ton. And this weekend was no different…

The shot above is of my dog, BUG, attacking a perfectly innocent woman named Lil. We were at a TILE SHOW to see my friend Janine who was displaying her awesome tile work. (If you need tile, then she’s the man. Um, wo-man) But there was Lil, minding her own business when BUG leaped up, claws extended and ATTACKED her for no reason other that to get in a few licks. And by the looks of the photo, you can see that he did! She was from Catalina, out to LA for the weekend and to grab some cool tiles, too. She went back to Avalon to nurse her Malibu Attack Poodle scars. (I’m sure I’ll be getting a bill soon. JUST KIDDING, LIL!!) Check out the cool car tiles Janine’s got.

BUT, it was not only a cockerpoo electric weekend, there were hybrids and electrics out in full force. Snagged the shot of the Tesla off PCH, getting the hookup. And the Nissan Cube, although not the electric 100mpg version also hanging and waiting for glances.

Electric cars are here to stay. So get one. And what else did I do? Cook bruschetta, clean, wash, build, spray, write a new book, discuss my new show… on another show, meditate and eat… the bruschetta. Mmmm… Oh, and saw Pelham 123. Travolta is awesome.

And I did virtually all that with my Dad, Tony. Who’s 81. He’s a maniac…
