Actor RODNEY ALLEN RIPPY to be Easter Wheels and Waves Special Guest…

That’s right folks, RODNEY ALLEN RIPPY will be our Special Guest for the EASTER WHEELS AND WAVES this Sunday, April 16th. Don’t miss it!

More about RODNEY here…

In the advertisements, Rippy was seen trying to wrap his mouth around the super-sized Jumbo Jack hamburger. The tag line “It’s too big to eat!” (pronounced “It’s too big-a-eat!”) became a catch-phrase. Another spot showed Rippy giggling while singing the song “Take Life a Little Easier,” which was released as a single by Bell Records in the fall of 1973 in the wake of the commercial’s popularity.[1]

The 45 (b/w “World of Love”) approached the Billboard magazine “Bubbling Under the Hot 100” chart in October 1973, peaking at #112. At the age of five, Rippy became the youngest person ever to make any Billboard music chart.[citation needed]

Rippy subsequently had guest roles in many popular television shows, including The Six Million Dollar Man, Marcus Welby, M.D., Police Story, and The Odd Couple (where Rodney played the owner of the building where Oscar and Felix lived). He also appeared frequently on talk shows such as The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson and Dinah’s Place with Dinah Shore. Rippy also had a co-starring role on the CBS Saturday morning children’s show The Harlem Globetrotters Popcorn Machine.[2]

Rodney made his big screen debut (uncredited, filmed before the Jack in the Box spots) in the Mel Brooks comedy Blazing Saddles in 1974. He portrayed a young Sheriff Bart aboard his parents’ buckboard wagon after a brutal Sioux nation attack. When the Sioux chief, portrayed by Brooks, allows the pioneers passage (for being darker than the Sioux are), Rippy says his only line, “Thank you.”[2] In a Peanuts newspaper comic strip dated July 3, 1974, Snoopy awakens from a dream in which he “had been invited out to dinner by Rodney Allen Rippy!”

EASTER Egg Hunters… A New Reality Series

DSC04928

Yup. Just sold this yesterday to Discovery Channel. EASTER Egg Hunters features us search for eggs in our yard and living room. They green lit only one episode, but it was a doozie. Actually, these photos were the only thing we shot, but STILL! It was awesome and we had a blast. Hope you guys did, too…

HAPPY EASTER!!!

BIG Wishes of COOLNESS to everyone! May your day be filled with creamy warm bowls of Cadbury chocolate one after the other! Yea, you know what I’m talkin’ ’bout…

Easter

EASTER with the squirts…

Great Easter Sunday in two parts of town. Went to my brothers in Valley Village for an Easter Egg Hunt for Fireball Alexa. She was so excited that she ran loops through the house at about Mach 3. And that was without Chocolate. Got a chance to try out SONY’s new Alpha Camera. (Shots of her, you can’t do bad…) But we had a great time and the weather was Springy…

Then, back to the Bu for Sunday grub. Kathie built the ultimate Vegetarian Lasagna and Caeser Salad and I handled the Serrano laced Bruchetta. Ouch. Kicked my ass into next week. We had our kids, Sean and Isla and buddy Bob (Sean’s Dad) for Champagne and great conversation into the night. Dessert was Kathie’s Pineapple UpsideDown Cake. I crawled to bed with my stomach dragging the floor…

Gratitude goes out to those who made this day wonderful. Every day should be Easter… although with less food. 😉 And actually, every day should be Christmas, too. Just throwin’ that out there…

EASTER with my Niecster…

Oh man, is Alexa Simone gettin’ big. And that hair… it’s on fire, baby. She’s becoming Fireball Alexa for sure.

Went to Ethan’s for Easter and ate WAY TOO MUCH. You can relate, right? I mean, we’re gonna be full all week. We’ll have to just live at the gym. Intraveinous of water. Did I spell that wrong? Do I care? Is there chocolate around somewhere?

So lame. Ethan said to Alexa… “Go find eggs from the Easter Egg Rabbit.” That’s gotta be a huge bunny to lay eggs that size.
