Yesterday, we headed out to WB to deliver Kathie finished Christmas Mascot to Ellen’s set. It was a hit, but while we waited for Ellen to arrive, we had lunch and walked around the lot a bit. I can’t show you the Costume yet until it airs tomorrow (so expect photos here on Thursday!), but it’s pretty hysterical.
Also took this sneak shot of the set of the Coen Brother’s new film HAIL, CAESAR. Wups. Don’t tell anyone, ’cause it wasn’t me and I’ll deny it!

Ok, so again… this week is gonna be epic. And although I threw my back out on Friday and spent most of the weekend in bed, I’m gonna bring it on home with the following amazing stuff ’cause that just how we roll here at the pad. Very grateful to Ellen DeGeneres, GM, Syd Mead & Nate Truman. Who? You’ll see…
• FIRST UP… Kathie and I are delivering Ellen DeGeneres’ TOP SECRET Christmas Mascot to the set at WB at 11am this morning for “THE 12 DAYS of GIVEAWAYS” on THE ELLEN SHOW. No one has seen what the Mascot is for this year is yet, except a select few and since Kathie’s been building them for the last 8 years, it’s awesome. What is it? Well, He/She will be revealed on the 3rd, baby. Merry Christmas, ya filthy animals. Then, later today… in comes the CHEVY COLORADO to the Pad for this week’s Malibu drive. So awesome.
• THEN… later this week, I head to Pasadena to shoot the next episode of 5MINUTE DRIVE with my new guest and Master Futurist SYD MEAD. Syd is known for designing BLADE RUNNER and many other movies and is also responsible for the car we’re gonna drive. The 1973 Chrysler Imperial LeBaron. Wait, can you FEEL IT? Classic Shwing!!

KCL CHRISTMAS MASCOT revealed on ELLEN today!!
That’s right. My wife’s new Christmas Mascot will be revealed on ELLEN’s “12 Days of Christmas” today along with Ellen’s interview of Jessica Biel. What is the Mascot this year? Well, you’ll have to watch and find out… ’cause she’s coooool.
Every year, Kathie is asked to create a one-of-a-kind Holiday Costume for Ellen and each year she tops herself right here in our Malibu shop. And as a woman owned business in the Bu for the last 35 years, she’s created incredible costumes.
See some of the past ones here, but rest assured, today’s reveal will be pretty awesome. WATCH THE SHOW
CUSTOM TAXI spotted on the WB lot…
Kathie took these as we pulled up to the set of ELLEN the other day on the lot at Warner Bros. (Ellen’s got her finished Christmas Mascot!) I think the Taxi was for her show, but who knows. It was covered in buttons and was totally weird, but… you have to appreciate the time and patience that went into putting those things on.

BIG BOOTY from Christmas 2010…
Last week, our KCL Costume Division was booked again for THE ELLEN DeGENERES SHOW. This Christmas Mascot is due earlier than usual this year due to Ellen’s special guest on Thursday. We’ll be bringing it to set Thursday morning just in time, but Kathie is feverishly building as we speak. What’s it’s gonna be? It’s gonna be TOP SECRET, that’s what! And it’s gonna be cool.

You may or may not know that my wife Kathie builds costumes. Serious costumes. Like the one above for The Ellen DeGeneres Show. And, she’s doin’ it again. So, I do her dirty wet work. 😉 Like going to the WB this morning at 6am to pick up some top secret thingies for this year’s “12 Days of Christmas.” What’s the costume?
The World will know Wednesday… Just watch Ellen’s show and you can’t miss it.
