This Sunday! DRAGGTEAM at Wheels and Waves…

DRAGG (Drag Racing Against Gangs and Graffiti) is an innovative after-school program in the City of Oxnard where Police Officers and people from the automotive industry mentor local high school students.

At-risk youth are provided a viable alternative to a life of gangs and graffiti through lessons learned at DRAGG that range from basic automotive repair to creative car customization.

It’s a new spin on an old idea; keep the youth focused on the future with positive influences and they will stay out of trouble.

The program empowers individuals to make positive life choices, offering opportunities for continued education and employment.

5MINUTE DRIVE Ep 31 with KABC-TV’s Dave Kunz & his Bullitt Mustang… @ford #mustang #bullitt #SteveMcQueen @ABC7DaveKunz

Last week, I went out to visit my good friend and fellow car nut DAVE KUNZ. Dave is the Automotive Reporter for KABC-TV here in LA and loves cars. So much so that he’s got this cherry Bullitt Mustang that he built, inspired by the film. Watch and learn how he got it and also pick up an issue of The Malibu Surfside News this week. Full story there too.

We had a great time driving through the “real” Hollywood. Dave’s a great guy and knows all things cars, although he needs some better jokes. 😉 WATCH!

**Today’s Episode is brought to you by The AUTOMOTO Film & Arts Festival.

Is this the new MUSTANG?

Inside Line thinks so… But, since it’s a rendering, no one knows for sure. Looks pretty slick and the goal here with Ford is to re-invent as opposed to maintain the retro look. They may have done it if this is close to the final. We’ll see…

Movie Car of the Day: The DEATH RACE Mustang…

Weathered. Dressed Down. Beat to Smithereens. All terms we use to describe post-apocalyptic cars for movie like Death Race. And although the first movie (which I’ll cover later) didn’t have cars like these, the new premise was very different.

Although, I liked the original better… becuase is was more fun and wilder. Can you name all the cars in the secnd film?

There were several designers on this movie, but this sketch is by Harald Belker.
