A moment in time with SKIPPY… #dog #jackrussell #fountainplay

A little while back, I took the fam to the movies in Culver City. As we were about to go in, we came across this Jack Russell named SKIPPY playing in the fountain. As he bit at every water projectile that appeared, it occured to me the sheer joy he must be feeling was overwhelming. He didn’t want to stop, ever. He was soaked and his owner sitting nearby (Steve) told me that he not only likes to bite fountains, but rides on his Harley, too.

That got me thinking… Everything in life is a metaphor for something greater. As long as you choose to find the seed that can make your life better. In this case, Skippy made all our lives better in that moment. But it also stood for something far greater…

If I can find the sheer joy in my life, then I’m present. I don’t worry about the past or the future because I’m in the moment. That’s the only place that joy can exist. Skippy showed me that.

If you want to make changes in your life for the better, you have to be grateful for what you have now. Everything. Live NOW and feel what Skippy feels. Like children, go out and play today. Make better choices in what you THINK about. Stop worrying and start living.
