GM Premieres 2013 Camaro Convertible…

Yesterday I attended a GM Press Event where they revealed the 2013 ZL1 Camaro Convertible. Met up with designer Tom Peters (another Art Center alumn), GM awesome dood of destruction Richard James, designer of the Spark Ken Parkinson and a host of others.

The ZL1 only has a WHOPPING 580hp… I mean, c’mon. If you’re really gonna launch that toupee, you’re gonna need 600. But… maybe by not driving with your 3 cousins, 580 will do. (It’s not like you’re gonna let them drive anyway…)

The ZL1 is the most powerful Chevy Convertible ever. And it will be on display at the LA Auto Show starting Friday. I’m heading out there today for Press Days, so more shots coming. And in a week or so, I get mine to drive. (The regular convertible, as there are only 3 ZL1’s currently built.)

Facts. The ZL1 will smoke the pants off the Aston DB9, Benz SL63 AMG, 911 Turbo and the Ford Shelby GT500. What smoking pants actually looks like I DO NOT want to visualize, but it’s gonna hurt. So there… 0-60 in 3.9 seconds… 184mph and $55K. Awesome…

Discussion with GM Prez Mark Ruess fortells a bright future…

Had a great time this morning listening to North American GM President Mark Ruess talk about the future of the automaker. And I have to tell you, I was impressed. Not only was it humble and revealing, but positive and enlightening.

After a rough time, GM is headed straight again for a bright future. And the future starts NOW.

With the SONIC, SPARK, CAMARO LT1 and the CADILLAC ELR coming shortly, the product is way awesome. Especially the MEGAMUSCLER Camaro. A very serious beast that smacks a wollup against others of it’s kind. Or, is there even anything out there that WILL compete? Ouch. This car is so fast that it caused the grass at Germany’s RING to grow twice as fast…

The VOLT is an awesome ride as well as I previously posted.

All in all, GM is secretly underground planning something big called CUE. (Cadillac User Experience) and Relay Rides targeting the MTV squirts, and you. Ideas, Tech, Mobile, Easy. Looks like GM’s gonna be cool in a hot way.

Big thanks to Richard James for setting this up…
