You’ll believe that a Panoz Esperante CAN FLY…

Got a chance to work with JESSE JAMES on several episodes of MONSTER GARAGE way back when… and we made a car fly in 7 days, thanks to help from Flight Engineers. According to Jesse, it was the only car on the show that SCARED HIM. And I remember why… because in all our talks and designs over the week, the only thing we discussed was how to get the car in the air. But we NEVER talked about how to LAND it.

Jesse had a panic attack mid flight when the car lifted off the ground at Kitty Hawk Airport. Crashing was a very REAL and PRESENT fact. But as the car cruised about 8 feet of the ground, Jesse managed (with no flying lessons whatsoever!) to set it safely on the ground. Never to be flown again… Whew.
