Rumor has it that tough guy SNAKE PLISSKEN will be back…

Back in 1996, I did a film called ESCAPE FROM LA. I was on it for 9 months, designing VEHICLES, WEAPONS, SETS, PROPS and more. But the most fun were the CARS.

Not many, but a few fun concepts like a MONSTER TRUCK LIMO to this CHEVY LOWRIDER with severed Doll Heads! Production Designer LARRY PAULL and I would walk the lot, discussing ideas for the bad guy’s car. Cuervo. And being of Latino (or Columbian origin), it was clear that it needed to be something large and GM-based. We settled on 2… being a CHEVY LOWRIDER and ’59 CADILLAC.

I felt the Lowrider needed a unique paint scheme like this Graffitti variation, but after discussions with Director JOHN CARPENTER, we settled on a simple Custom. Someday, I’d like to do the Graffitti version as I think it would be badass taking to shows. What do you guys think?

Will SNAKE be back?? Well, 2 rumors exist… being ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK 2 and ESCAPE FROM EARTH. Russell has expressed reprising the roll, so let’s keep our bloody stump fingers crossed and SLURP SOME JOE while we wait.
