ARK 2, Paul Newman, The Partridges, Pinup & SHOW TOMORROW!
Welcome to AUTOMOTIVE POP CULTURE DAILY! Wow, if you can remember this one… then GOOD ON YA! Today, Fireball busts out THE ARK II MASTERPRINT! Remember the Morning Show that aired from September 11th to December 18th, 1976… with only 15 episodes?? CHECK OUT THE FANTASTIC IN THE GARAGE!
DID YOU KNOW?? The 44 ft long LAND Vehicle was a fiberglass body on a 1971 Ford C-Series (C-700) cabover, by The Brubaker Group. The front end of the Ark II prop was later re-used as the nose portion of the Seeker spacecraft in the Filmation series Space Academy and Jason of Star Command. Brubaker was famous for The Brubaker Box, a car designed by Curtis Brubaker, Todd Gerstenberger and Harry Wykes. Brubaker got the idea from Volkswagen Minibuses!
Also in today’s ARKTASTIC BLAST… PAUL NEWMAN poses with a Classic Cadillac, but WHAT YEAR? Vintage Fireball from MINI TAKES THE STATES in 2007, an early DODGE SERPENT Concept pitting a Viper-Powered Mini Truck, Fireball and Tommy interview COMICONS’ BRENDAN ALLEN at SEMA, The PARTRIDGES ready for an upcoming Gig, another Fireball PINUP… and her name is “CUCA!”
