DID YOU KNOW? Barney Rubble, Fred’s loyal best friend, was voiced by legendary Mel Blanc, who even recorded lines from his hospital bed after a severe accident, briefly replaced by Daws Butler. He was intended to be a bear, worked many jobs besides quarryman (like detective, photographer, cook), and was the nephew of Fred’s boss, Mr. Slate, growing up near Bedrock in Granitetown. Barney and Betty adopted the super-strong Bamm-Bamm, and he’s known for his iconic laugh and unwavering good-natured spirit.
