SICK 1936 U.S. MARSHAL CHEVROLET CRIMEBUSTER – FIREBALL MALIBU VLOG 728
SICK 1936 U.S. MARSHAL CHEVROLET CRIMEBUSTER – FIREBALL MALIBU VLOG 728 – Fireball heads to Santa Barbara Cars and Coffee, spots a sick 1936 U.S. Marshal Chevrolet Crimebuster. Oh, and Happy New Years you filthy animals!
The Chevrolet Standard Six (Series DC) was launched in 1933, initially as the Chevrolet Mercury, by Chevrolet as a lower priced alternative to the 1932 Chevrolet Series BA Confederate that became the Eagle in 1933 and Master from 1934.
It was advertised as the cheapest six-cylinder enclosed car on the market.
The Standard was offered in three body styles all on a 107-inch wheelbase: coach, coupe and coupe with rumble seat.
All bodies were by Fisher and featured ‘no-draft ventilation’. All models were powered by a 181 cu in (2,970 cc) six-cylinder valve-in-head engine producing 60 bhp (45 kW; 61 PS) at 3,000 rpm and 125 lb⋅ft (169 N⋅m) of torque giving the car a top speed of between 65–70 mph.
This engine had first appeared in a Chevrolet in 1928. The car had full instrumentation.
A clock, heater and a radio were options. In 1935, a larger 206.8 cu in (3,389 cc) six-cylinder engine was offered in lieu of the 181 cu in (2,970 cc), producing 74 bhp at 3,200 rpm and 150 lb⋅ft of torque.
For 1936, the Standard Six received a wide range of improvements and a wider choice of body styles including cabriolet and sports sedan versions.
It was built on a new box-girder frame with a wheel base of 109 inches.
With an increase of compression ratio from 5.6:1 to 6:1, the standard 206.8 cu in (3,389 cc) engine now produced 79 bhp (59 kW; 80 PS) at 3,200 rpm and 156 lb⋅ft (212 N⋅m) of torque which was now shared with the Master Six.
The spare wheel moved from its external rear trunk location to a new compartment under the trunk. Brakes were 11-in drums. The steel roof was new.
The Standard Six was discontinued for 1937 when the Master range was joined by the new Master Deluxe.
BLACK KNIGHTS on FIREBALL MALIBU VLOG
You may know by now that Fireball had a severe Camera Malfunction. So, today it’s the Best Cars in BLACK! CLICK TO WATCH! New Vlogs start Friday including MOVIE CARS, WHEELS AND WAVES & what Fireball’s driving BELOW! a 1938 Hot Rodded Ford Convertible from THE MURPHY AUTO MUSEUM!
About the 1938 FORD… The 1938 recession hurt Ford sales, as did Ford’s continuing of the 1937 cars, including most body panels.
1938 DeLuxe models were differentiated with a heart-shaped grille, though standard models retained the 1937 look.
The fading Slantback sedan design was cancelled for good. Only a V8 was offered, either a 60 hp V8 or an 85 hp V8. A new dash was used, with recessed controls for safety.
The 1938 trucks were finally updated, having continued with 1935 looks. Changes included a vertical oval grille and substantial fenders and bumpers.
RESTORED 1952 CHEVY SUBURBAN WOODIE – FIREBALL MALIBU VLOG 688
RESTORED 1952 CHEVY SUBURBAN WOODIE – FIREBALL MALIBU VLOG 688 – Fireball and Kathie head to the Murphy Museum to return the ’62 Pickup, spot a fully restored 1952 Chevy Suburban Woodie. The next day, it’s off to Wheels and Windmills in Solvang!
From WIKI… The Chevrolet Suburban is a full-size, extended-length sport utility vehicle from Chevrolet.
It is the longest continuous use automobile nameplate in production, starting in 1935 for the 1935 U.S. model year, and has traditionally been one of General Motors’ most profitable vehicles.
The Suburban has been produced under the Chevrolet, Holden, Plymouth and GMC marques until the GMC version was rebranded as the GMC Yukon XL.
For most of its recent history, the Suburban has been a station wagon-bodied version of the Chevrolet pickup truck, including the Chevrolet C/K and Silverado series of truck-based vehicles.
Cadillac offers a version called the Escalade ESV.
The Suburban is sold in the United States (including the insular territories), Canada, Mexico, Chile, the Philippines, and the Middle East (except Israel) as a left-hand drive vehicle, while the Yukon XL is sold only in North America (United States and Canada) and The Middle East territories (except Israel).
This model 1952 generation was based on the Chevrolet Advance Design series of pickups.
Beginning in 1953, the Hydra-Matic 4-speed automatic transmission was available in GMC models and in the 1954 model year Chevrolet Suburbans.
Models with rear panel doors were designated “3106,” while those with tailgates were designated “3116.”
In 1952, the Suburban came with either a tail gate or panel doors. The front bench seat was split, with two seats on the driver’s side and a single seat on the passenger side, which slid forward for access to the rear two rows of seats.
The second row was a “2/3” seat, requiring occupants to move past the front passenger seat, as well as the second row seats to access the third row.
This was the last series to feature “Canopy express” models.
The design of the 1949 Suburban would inspire the design of the Chevrolet HHR over half a century later.

SEXY 2017 VOLVO V90 CROSS COUNTRY AWD! – FIREBALL MALIBU VLOG 661 – The Swedish Sexy 2017 Volvo V90 Cross Country AWD arrives at the Fireball Pad, plus Fireball has some book announcements.
From WIKI… Volvo Cars (Swedish: Volvo personvagnar), stylized as VOLVO in the logo, is a Swedish luxury vehicle manufacturer established in 1927 and headquartered on Hisingen, in Gothenburg.
As of 2016, 61.4% of its 31,416 worldwide employees were still in Sweden.
Although often conflated with the Swedish heavy truck and construction equipment conglomerate AB Volvo, also based in Gothenburg, the two firms have been independent since AB Volvo sold Volvo Cars to Ford Motor Company in 1999.
Volvo Cars has been owned since 2010 by the Geely Holding Group, a Chinese multinational automotive manufacturing company. Both AB Volvo and Volvo Cars share the Volvo logo and cooperate in running the Volvo Museum.
Volvo Cars was founded as a subsidiary of the ball bearing manufacturer SKF. When AB Volvo was introduced on the Stockholm stock exchange in 1935, SKF sold most of the shares in the company.
Volvo Cars manufactures and markets sport utility vehicles, station wagons, sedans and compact executive sedans. With approximately 2,300 local dealers from around 100 national sales companies worldwide, Volvo Cars’ largest markets are China, the United States, Sweden, and the other countries in the European Union.
In July 2017, Volvo announced that new models launched from 2019 will be fully electric or hybrid-electric, heralding the end of production of nearly a century of Volvo vehicles powered solely by the internal combustion engine.
