BATGIRL 1955 emerges again for a KNIGHT OF SHEER TERROR…

Another BATGIRL 1955 ADVENTURE with an all-new CANVAS PRINT! This time… it’s sheer terror!

In the dark and wet streets of 1955 Chicago, BATGIRL prowled in her sleek ’55 Batmobile, a marvel of retro-futuristic engineering. Her mission: to stop the nefarious schemes of Sebastian Cross, a diabolical kingpin armed with Atomic-based technology threatening to plunge the city into chaos.

Cross, with his towering 6’8″ presence and calculating mind, had unleashed a syndicate of menacing steel robots armed with advanced atomic weaponry. These robots, clad in chrome and emitting an eerie hum, patrolled the city, enforcing Cross’s iron grip on its inhabitants.

In her midnight-black suit and cowl, BATGIRL navigated through the shadows, her cape billowing behind her as she surveyed the city from rooftops and alleyways. Her utility belt bristled with gadgets designed by her genius intellect, each one a tool against the encroaching threat of Cross and his automatons.

The first clash with Cross’s robots erupted near the docks. With precision and agility, she disabled their circuits, employing a blend of martial arts and strategic prowess honed through years of training. Yet, for every robot dismantled, more appeared, each more formidable than the last… as if they were learning.

As the battle escalated, Batgirl realized that direct confrontation alone wouldn’t suffice. She retreated to her Batmobile, a marvel with jet-black fins and a purring engine that echoed through the concrete canyons of the Windy City. Its arsenal, a blend of cutting-edge technology and retro charm, was her steel steed against Cross’s atomic threats.

With the Batmobile’s Sonic Disruptors and Magnetic Hyper-Grapples, Batgirl waged a one-woman war against Cross’s syndicate. She navigated the labyrinthine streets, outmaneuvering robots and unraveling Cross’s intricate network of corruption. Each victory brought her closer to the heart of Cross’s operation, a fortified skyscraper overlooking Lake Michigan, where the final showdown awaited. His SKY LAIR…

Inside the towering citadel, Batgirl confronted Cross himself, a man driven by ambition and arrogance. With a combination of quick wit and physical prowess, she attempts to disarm Cross’s atomic device, a pulsating sphere of raw power poised to unleash devastation upon the city.

And as sirens wailed and the first light of dawn broke over Chicago, Batgirl emerged victorious…. or so she thought. The city, though scarred, was safe once more from the grasp of Sebastian Cross and his atomic ambitions. She stood atop a rooftop, silhouetted against the rising sun, a symbol of hope and resilience in a city teetering on the edge of darkness.

With a solemn nod to the city she swore to protect, Batgirl vanished into the shadows, her mission in Chicago complete yet her vigilance eternal against any who dared threaten its peace. That is… until there was a STRANGE SOUND coming form the lake…

Fireball helps BATGIRL fight crime in CHICAGO of 1955…

Batgirl Batmobile 1955 Fireball Art

In the bustling streets of 1955 Chicago, a shadowy figure known as BATGIRL soared through the night sky, her cape billowing behind her as she glided over the city. The masked vigilante who struck fear into the hearts of criminals and brought hope to the innocent. But she needed a new ride. So… she reached through time to Fireball.

Also known as Barbara Gordon, she had arrived in Chicago to investigate a string of mysterious crimes plaguing the city. Rumors whispered of a syndicate of unique female villains, each more cunning and dangerous than the last. Women like STILETTO and THE BLACK ROSE. But Batgirl was undeterred, armed with her intellect, strength, and the most advanced vehicle of its time – the nuclear-powered Bat55, equipped with a drone attachment that provided her with aerial surveillance, thanks to some help from the year 2024.

As she prowled the streets, she encountered her first adversary: the elegant yet deadly Femme Fatale named STILETTO, a master of disguise, deception and deadly heelps. Using her intuition, Batgirl unraveled Stiletto’s intricate web of lies and illusions, cornering her in an abandoned theater where the villainess attempted to ensnare her with hypnotic powers. But Batgirl’s willpower proved stronger, and with a swift kick chop doubler, she brought the evil femme to justice.

But the night was far from over...

Next on Batgirl’s list was the ruthless Baroness Blitz AKA THE BLACK ROSE, an heiress turned criminal genius who sought to control the city’s underworld with an iron fist. (Two, actually) Utilizing her ingenuity, she outsmarted Blitz’s elaborate traps and gadgets, turning them against her. With a burst of strength, Batgirl shattered Blitz’s plans and left her bound for the Chicago Cops.

Yet another challenge awaited Batgirl as she confronted the enigmatic EMPRESS OF ESPIONAGE, a master spy with a network of informants at her command. Drawing upon her own network of allies and resources, Batgirl intercepted Empress’s schemes and dismantled her spy ring, leaving her nowhere to hide but at THE GRAY BAR MOTEL.

But the final, most formidable opponent awaited Batgirl in the form of the QUEEN OF QuAOS, a mad scientist whose inventions threatened to unleash chaos upon the city. With her nuclear-powered Bat55 and Drone, Batgirl tracked the Queen’s lair to an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of the city. A Suburb near Volo. There, she faced a gauntlet of traps and minions, each more dangerous than the last.

But this Bat Wonder remained undaunted, using her wit and strength to overcome every obstacle in her path. In a climactic showdown, she faced the Queen herself, their battle shaking the very foundations of the warehouse. And with a burst of ingenuity, Batgirl disabled the Queen’s doomsday device and apprehended her, bringing an end to her reign of terror. The BAT55 pinning her against the walls of burning warehouse!

As the sun rose over the skyline of Chicago, BATGIRL stood victorious, the city safe once more thanks to her courage and determination. And as she disappeared into the shadows, her legend lived on, a symbol of hope for the people of Chicago and beyond. A dark vision in a dark steed known as the BAT55…

AND NOW… it’s in the Fireball GARAGE!

Stunning 1955 CADILLAC VALKYRIE Concept locks a spot in Dennis Gage’s ORPHANS & ODDBALLS!

An amazing Concept… Learn all about it below…

1955 Cadillac Die Valkyrie Concept Car

From HYMAN LTD… Brooks Stevens is one of America’s great industrial design masters. Practicing design much in the same way his contemporaries like Raymond Loewy and John Vassos, Stevens designed products, machines and logos in virtually any industry, amassing a huge and diverse portfolio that covered architecture, industrial design and graphic design. Some of his most notable projects include the Miller Beer logo, the Evinrude Lark outboard motor, and the world-famous Oscar Meyer Weinermobile. His iconic design for the 1949 Harley-Davidson Hydra Glide is still in use on today’s Heritage range. Of course, the automobile industry played a huge role in Stevens’ illustrious career. He is perhaps best known for his work with Studebaker, redesigning the Grand Turismo Hawk on a miniscule budget, and also the Jeep Wagoneer, a design that remained virtually unchanged from 1963 through the model’s discontinuation in 1991. He also designed the original Excalibur sports car in conjunction with Kaiser, and the subsequent “neo-classic” models that came after. But one of his earliest contributions to the motoring industry came in 1955, with a car that he hoped would introduce American V8 power, as well as the Brooks Stevens name, to the European marketplace.

Die Valkyrie was a big car, sharing the same 133-inch wheelbase as the Cadillac donor. But it also shared Cadillac’s OHV, 331 cubic inch dual-quad engine that made a solid 270 horsepower so performance was not lacking. Rumors even circulated that Cadillac considered backing the project as a way to break into the fickle European market, and Stevens made no attempt to hide the source of his donor vehicle. But ultimately, the project never went beyond two cars, the first which was purchased by Stevens himself as a gift for his wife who enjoyed the car for many thousands of miles before it went into the Brooks Stevens Museum where it remained through the mid-1990s.
