CAMARO, ZZTop, Kustoms, Lovebirds, Concepts & MONSTER TRUCKS

Good Monday and Welcome to today’s AUTOMOTIVE POP CULTURE!! Let’s bring on the coolness with Fireball’s updated CUSTOM CAMARO MUGSHOT and Classic MASTERPRINT! It’s a blue beasty that’ll turn your single-shot coffee into 180 Octane! And that’s just the first cup… KAPOW!!

DID YOU KNOW?? The first-generation Chevrolet Camaro, including the 1969 model, was designed primarily by Henry Haga. However, multiple designers and engineers contributed to the overall design and development of the car. Tom Peters’ early Camaro build, and others like Mark Stielow’s, were used as references in the design process. His car’s design, particularly the blue Bowtie on its taillight panel, inspired the production model’s emblem, which has been adopted across Chevrolet’s portfolio. Vince Piggins is credited with the idea of introducing the Z/28 option code to the Camaro, which was a key performance package.

And meanwhile, ON PLANET FIREBALL, The ball heads north to his Oregon Car Fam in the land of stunning trees, blue sky and all-smiles. Plus, a day with ZZTop legend BILLY GIBBONS resulted in talking cars and a CADZILLA MUGSHOT!

FEATURED ART!! Fireball’s CHEVY C1O STINGER and CUSTOM FLEETSIDE EL CAMINO would both be insane SEMA Builds. Who’s up to bustin’ a MOOVE? Reach out!!

CONCEPT ART!! An early Imagineering piece entitled EPSILON ZERO and THE LOVEBIRD 1 from LOONEY TUNE BACK IN ACTION. Unbuilt… but there’s still time, ppl.

Fireball’s NEW COLORING BOOKS are about to get a NEW ADDITION THIS WEEK! But be sure to “Git ‘ta Colorin'” his MONSTER TRUCKS & MUSCLES CARS, available now at BARNES & NOBLE.

What are YOU most exited about this week?? LEAVE A COMMENT!!

DID YOU KNOW?? The Airwolf TV Series with Jan-Michael Vincent debuted on January 22, 1984. The helicopter was a modified Bell 222 with stealth systems invisible to radar! The show’s creator, Don Bellisario, also wrote an episode of Magnum P.I. that had a similar plot to Airwolf! But the helicopter was eventually sold and became an ambulance helicopter in Germany, where it crashed in 1992! Ouch! 🙁 – A replica of Airwolf was created in the early 2000s and from 2007 to 2015 was displayed in a Tennessee museum until it was sold to a collector. It’s now on top of a $250 million mansion in Bel Air, California!!

DID YOU KNOW??National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” was the final film of Mae Questel, who voiced Betty Boop from 1931! The cast members had a bad time filming the scenes at Walley World, where they rode all the roller coasters and other rides. Shoulda called it BARF CITY!

VEGAS, Truckster, Kustoms, McDonalds, Viper & Purple Hair!

Welcome to AUTOMOTIVE POP CULTURE DAILY! Today… we head to VEGAS… baby, for some super cool Dan Tanna T-BIRD MASTERPRINT ART that screams… “I park my car IN MY LIVING ROOM!” Yup. Only in Sin City.

BUT DID YOU KNOW?? The ’57 T-Bird replaced a 1967 yellow Chevrolet Corvette that was Tanna’s car in the pilot episode. A car which ended up being destroyed by fire! Wups. Much of the series was filmed at Culver Studios in California, where a set was constructed to represent the Montecito. But some filming also (occasionally) took place in Las Vegas. The Mandalay Bay and Green Valley Ranch (two hotel-casinos in the Las Vegas Valley) were sometimes used to portray the Montecito. DING! WINNA…

Also in today’s SEXY SINTASTIC BLAST… On Set for the film FAMILY VACATION and the TRUCKSTER, more MOONEYES Kustoms filled with RATS, Fireball ponders LOWRIDER Coolness (Can you dig it?) a ROADMASTER Whipsnap Sketch, Ronald MCDONALD BOOTCAR (Who does that??), slick VIPER TV SHOW MASTERPRINT ART, Fireball’s WHEELS & WAVES is scheduled for January 5th, some Purple Hair love from the TV Show U.F.O. (Could this be a thing?), Fireball’s CONCEPT ART for the film STARGATE and a vintage snap on set for THE GREAT RACE! Check out the HANNIBAL 8 in THE GARAGE!

What is today’s EPISODE?? Some DEAD GUY in the back of a Classic CADILLAC AMBULANCE, that’s what!! WATCH!

COLUMBO JUST ONE MORE THING, Celebs & Slammed Trucks

Fireball Tim Garage is Automotive Pop Culture TV & Film at it’s best… and today we celebrate with COLUMBO!! This PEUGEOT 503 MASTERPRINT and MORE is now in the Garage featuring the man who always said…“Just one more thing…” Snag one to feature in YOUR GARAGE!

DID YOU KNOW?? When fans heard Lieutenant Columbo’s trademark phrase “just one more thing…” we knew he’s about to crack the case wide open. The unconventional detective, played brilliantly by Peter Falk, first appeared on our screens in 1968. But it wasn’t until in the 1971 episode “Dead Weight” that the detective flashed his badge and a closeup revealed that the gumshoe’s first name was in fact… Frank.

Also in today’s BLAST… Fireball snaps with ALEXANDRA PAUL from the Horror film CHRISTINE, pumps a new SON OF THE MASK upcoming MASTERPRINT, hits the last SANTA PAULA CRUISE NIGHT of the Season and asks… “Why are some POLICE MOVIE CARS so lame??”

Today’s BEST OF SHOW?? A RATTED COOL CHEVY C10 from CRUISIN FOR A CURE!

CAPTAIN SCARLET, Vettes, Bel Air, Classic Trucks & Bats!

Our goal here at the Fireball Tim Garage is to give the BEST in AUTOMOTIVE POP CULTURE! And today, that includes the infamous CAPTAIN SCARLET & THE MYSTERONS!

DID YOU KNOW?? Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons was a British sci fi TV series created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson (Thunderbirds) and filmed by their production company Century 21 for ITC Entertainment. It was the sixth Anderson series to be filmed using a form of electronic marionette puppetry dubbed SUPERMARIONATION combined with scale model special effects. Thirty-Two 25-minute episodes and set in the year 2068, it was first broadcast on ITV regional franchises between 1967 and 1968 and has since aired in more than 40 other countries, including the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Japan. And now, Fireball has done the Cap’s SPECTRUM PATROL CAR as an awesome MASTERPRINT!!

But also in today’s super cool blast, Fireball Lightning Sketches a CUSTOM VETTE and belts out another 1960 CHEVY BEL AIR MASTERPRINT for a car that deserves Classic Respect!

Remember Fireball’s CHEVY 3100 for AUTOTRADER? Here’s a great shot from the LA AUTO SHOW! And for Movie Cars… an amazing snap if the ’89 BAT and Fireball at the WB with the BAT from ARKHAM KNIGHTS. Time for a spin for BLACK COFFEE!

DUEL TRUCK, Roth Rod , Bandit One, American Muscle & Aliens!

Scary is the theme as we get closer to HALLOWEEN, but today launches an absolute icon of creepiness with Fireball’s DUEL TRUCK MASTERPRINT!! Scare your friends outta your Garage, Home of Shop with this awesome rusted behemoth MOVIE CAR ART along with MUGS & TEES! Hit the GARAGE NOW!

DID YOU KNOW?? Spielberg praised how the truck was handled in an exceptionally safe manner by 50 year old stunt driver Carey Loftin. Although it appears the truck is driving at a recklessly unsafe speed along the winding California roads, it is actually not going more than 30 mph! Only one truck was used while filming the original TV movie, which was famously destroyed when it plunged off a cliff at the end. But after Duel aired on TV, Universal wanted to release it in theaters, and 74 minutes was too short for a theatrical release, so additional scenes were filmed.

Also in today Coolness Blast… Fireball does up an ED ROTH MONSTER CLASSIC HOT ROD SKETCH, does snap time with KANYE WEST (YE) and Acura’s DAVE MAREK, finally launches the ALL-AMERICAN CLASSIC CAMARO MASTERPRINT and explores the original cast of ALIENS! Check out the APC TANK!

And finally, today’s BEST OF SHOW Episode features BANDIT ONE, rested and relaxed, but poised for a Moonshine Run like no other… “I’m Gonna Call you FROG, ’cause I kinda wanna Jump Ya…”

TRUCKSTER, ’67 Charger, Jade Idol, 600, Knievel & CLOCKWORK!

As of this BLAST, the NATIONAL LAMPOON FAMILY TRUCKSTER is in the #1 slot for fans of the Garage and it’s easy to know why… ’cause it’s just frikkin’ cool, that’s what! And if you’ve seen the movie, then all you want to do is buy a Wagon and hit the road!

BUT DID YOU KNOW?? A heavily-modified 1979 Ford LTD Country Squire Station Wagon, the design, and cringe-worthy title of Wagon Queen Family Truckster were the brainchild of George Barris. Five Wagon Queens were built for the movie, primarily to be wrecked for the vehicle’s never-ending series of mishaps. For the iconic ‘turn off the highway scene’, stunt coordinator Dick Ziker made a bet against other crew members that he would be able to jump the Family Truckster more than 50 feet before crashing into the desert floor. Ziker won the bet. Ouch.

Also in today’s blast, Fireball scoots a ’67 Dodge Charger along PCH in search of Car Shows, a super hot SKETCH of Gene Winfield’s JADE IDOL smack outta his Coloring Book, Fireball’s rendition of Jeff Styles’ EVEL KNIEVEL VAN that’s premiering at SEMA this year and a CELEB SHOT of Malcolm McDowell and the car from A CLOCKWORK ORANGE! Robin Gibbons lent Stanley Kubrick his Probe 16 (AB/4) for use in filming in 1971. In the movie, it’s referred to as the “Durango 95!”

BEST OF SHOW Episode?? This MERCEDES BENZ 600 PULLMAN LIMO CONVERTIBLE spotted at Supercar Sunday! WATCH!!

VACATION TRUCKSTER, Shark Attack and the MYSTERY of 2125…

One of the most famous MOVIE CARS on the planet isn’t driven by a MAN IN BLACK. It’s the National Lampoon TRUCKSTER from FAMILY VACATION! And that… is driven by Clark Griswold. But what makes the Truckster so unique? It’s the most extreme… and weirdest Station Wagon ever built.

The car was a heavily modified 1979 Ford LTD Country Squire Wagon built by Warner Bros, the movie being released on July 29, 1983. It created a massive uptick in Family Vacations across the country… and a few people trying to jump their wagons. (That didn’t end well, but looked pretty good on video. 😉 When was the last time you WATCHED IT??

Today, Fireball launches an all new MASTERPRINT along with several other TRUCKSTER items! Check ’em out!

Also on today’s blast is a SHARK ATTACK SKETCH, inspired for a Coloring Book. The AMPHICAR Model 770 is all amphibious and was was launched at the 1961 NEW YORK AUTO SHOW. It was made in West Germany from 1961 to 1968, with production ceasing in 1965. And yes… it worked.

Next up is the MYSTERY OF 2125. No one really knows where this location exists, but some say that although it looks outside, it’s really deep inside the Caves of Maine. And what do they do at 2125? Well, Fireball knows… but he’s not telling, because he started it. But of you ask him, he’ll distract you with HOT WHEELS, give you a Cookie and maybe tell you a Top Secret Story. But we do know that 2125 began as a secret Mason Temple and is now rumored to be the home of the ARTISAN SPEC, highest order of the Illuminati. But hey, you didn’t hear it from us.

CLASSIC COOL is here!!! Check out all the BEST in Classic TV Wear! MORE coming every day!

Fireball’s CAR SHOW SCHEDULE has be UPDATED! Check it out!!

And finally, today’s BEST OF SHOW is a 650hp, Suicide Door ’55 CHEVY that’s outta control!! WATCH!!
