Fireball takes BUCK ROGERS to CYBORGIA Planet of Women…
BUCK ROGERS, the intrepid space explorer, never expected his routine reconnaissance mission to take such a bizarre turn. A he left his squadron and began to explore in the Stardust Strider Starfighter, he descended through the glittering nebulae of the Omega Quadrant and stumbled upon a planet unlike any he had seen before. Its surface shimmered with a strange metallic sheen, and Buck’s scanners blipped wildly with readings of advanced technology. Yea, this was cool.
Curiosity piqued, Buck landed his ship on the planet’s surface, greeted by a troupe of incredibly agile and alarmingly beautiful CYBORG WOMEN. They whizzed around him with metallic grace, their half-human, half-machine bodies gleaming in the alien sun. Oh boy, was Buck in trouble now. One particularly imposing cyborg, with a titanium arm and a voice that sounded like a blend of Siri and a grumpy drill sergeant, declared in a tone that brooked no argument, “You are under arrest by the High Council of Cyborgia!” (*Yea, they spoke English… cause that’s a thing.)
Buck Rogers, always quick with a quip even in the face of imminent imprisonment, replied with a cocky grin, “Arrest? Is it because I’m too handsome for this planet to handle?”
The cyborg women exchanged bewildered looks among themselves, clearly not accustomed to Buck’s brand of Earthling humor. Despite their confusion, they escorted him to their city, a labyrinth of sleek tall metal spires and humming energy fields. Buck couldn’t help but notice the lavish decoration of what appeared to be a cross between a motherboard, a disco ball and some other unmentionables in the center square, where the women cyborgs gathered in groups, whispering and pointing at him.
“Look, ladies, if this is about a dance-off, I’m your man,” Buck quipped as they locked him in a cell that looked more like a high-tech Vegas Spa than a prison.
The leader of the cyborgs, Cybella Prime, finally confronted Buck with an air of gravitas that was slightly undermined by her blinking LED eyes. “We have monitored your movements, Buck Rogers, and we suspect you are here to disrupt our carefully balanced society with your… organic chaos.”
Buck raised an eyebrow. “Wait, what? Disrupt? Me? I’m just a simple space cowboy looking for a pit stop and maybe a decent cup of cosmic joe.”
Cybella’s expression softened slightly, her circuits clearly struggling to process Buck’s nonchalant attitude. “Nevertheless, you will remain in custody until the High Council decides your fate. But first, we must change your inappropriate clothing.” Buck’s eyebrow went up further… along with a cosmic-eating grin.
Days passed in the luxurious confinement of Cybella’s quarters, where Buck regaled his captors with tales of his escapades across the galaxy, each more embellished than the last. Slowly, the cyborg women began to warm to his infectious charm and unshakeable optimism. And… other things.
In the end, it wasn’t Buck’s charm or wit that saved him, but a malfunctioning maintenance drone that accidentally opened his cell door. As he made his daring slightly unwanted escape, Buck left behind a planet of cyborg women who, despite their initial suspicion, couldn’t help but secretly admire the audacity of the man who fell from the stars into their meticulously ordered lives. But he carefully logged the planet’s coordinates into his system for further EXPLORATION.
And so, Buck Rogers soared back into the cosmos, leaving behind a trail of confused and happy cyborgs and a reputation for being the only man to ever outwit the women of Cyborgia. That is, until he realized he was being followed… PACHOW!!!

A week in the 2020 TOYOTA 4RUNNER TRD PRO…
Honestly, TOYOTAS don’t really get me all excited for the most part. I’m always feeling like they need more horsepower or design identity. Not sure they understand the American market as much as others.
That is… until I drove this 2020 TOYOTA 4RUNNER TRD PRO. Capable. That’s what I’d call her. Driven to perform on and off-road in a way that really surprised me. And the “green” was an added bonus that no matter where I went, people felt it was fresh.
Maybe it lacked the brashness of other big trucks? Maybe it suggested that it was understood and had empathy for the environment? Maybe… it was just green. ARMY GREEN.
I don’t know… it just made me feel like I wanted to put a big white star on the door and drive pretty much ANYWHERE.
Where the 4Runner is a bit challenged… is in it’s $52K price tag and 17mpg. Especially this coming from a company building ELECTRIC and massive Hybrid Cars. But… I’m sure the 4RunnerEV will be next, so complaining about it now doesn’t do much good.
I drove around Malibu with utter confidence that if FIRE, FLOOD, VIRUS or BAD DRIVERS entered my Toyota bubble, I’d lay the smack-down. But, the most I really did was scoot my grand daughter around town for picnics and groceries. Missed op, but even Generals in the Army have HoneyDoos.
Inside the 4Runner, it still feels a bit outdated and it is. Then again, freshness is right around the corner. But for a bit-out-of-date interior, the functionality still hooked up.
It’s a V6 so it can scoot, but where the fun really begins is with a snorkel and the Yukon Trail. It’s clear that this version is able to handle virtually any off road excursion. But it’s probably best suited to the Mountain Biker with Zion Dreams in his sights.
Rugged, fun, roomy and able to carry a ton of grocer…. I mean, construction equipment and Hardcore Mountain Climbing Gear.
But the green man, the green. People just get out of the way and don’t want to have ANYTHING to do with you. Some of the waves that came in also felt like I was on my way to Fort Point for some recon.
I love the 4Runner. It’s just plain cool and fun to drive. Although… $52K is a lot to spend on a 17mpg truck right now. Maybe it fits, maybe it doesn’t. But it’s certainly the last of a dying breed of gas land cruiser. You decide…
SECRET WHITE STALLIONS OF THE CAMARILLO RANCH – FIREBALL MALIBU VLOG 722
SECRET WHITE STALLIONS OF THE CAMARILLO RANCH – FIREBALL MALIBU VLOG 722 – After taking the 1961 Cadillac back to The Murphy Museum, Fireball and Kathie are invited to visit the infamous CAMARILLO RANCH and learn about the secret white stallions.
SECRET WHITE STALLIONS OF THE CAMARILLO RANCH – FIREBALL MALIBU VLOG 722 – In the pastoral community of Camarillo, a historic mansion with peaceful, park-like grounds offers a rare setting for all kinds of events—especially weddings.
The product of a romantic gesture, this turn-of-the-century Queen Anne-style estate was built in 1892 by Adolfo Camarillo for his wife Isabella.
The splendid heritage structure and its remaining 4.5 acres were restored by the city in 2001, and today visitors tour the ranch’s original stables, stroll through the beautiful gardens, and explore a living museum expertly reconstructed inside the mansion.
Camarillo Ranch House, also known as Rancho Calleguas and Adolfo Camarillo House, is a Queen Anne-style Victorian house in Camarillo, California.
Built in 1892, the 6,000-square-foot house was designed by architects Herman Anlauf and Franklin Ward., Adolfo Camarillo operated the ranch for 78 years, changing the operations from mostly cattle to crops.
He was a leading innovator growing lima beans, barley, corn, alfalfa, walnuts, citrus and eucalyptus trees.
The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.
Juan was a member of the Hijar-Padres Expedition to California in 1834 and he settled in Ventura in 1857.
Juan and Martina Camarillo were married in 1840 and moved to Ventura, California in 1854, becoming the fourth European family in the town.
In 1876, Juan Camarillo (1812–1880) bought the 10,000-acre Rancho Calleguas in eastern Ventura County from Jose Pedro Ruiz for $3,000 in gold.

Today’s FIREBALL ART… ARTEMIS FOWL
Yes, Fireball does cool cars, but he also has kicked out thousands of Concept Art WORLDS for amazing movies. Here’s just a few from the as-yet-unmade ARTEMIS FOWL.
Artemis Fowl is a series of eight science fiction fantasy novels written by Irish author Eoin Colfer, featuring the criminal mastermind Artemis Fowl II. The series has received positive critical reception and generated huge sales. It has also originated graphic novel adaptations, and a film adaptation is currently in the writing process.
A teenage genius, Artemis captures Holly Short, who is a Fairy and a captain of the LEPrecon (Lower Elements Police Recon), in the first book and holds her for ransom to exploit the magical Fairy People and restore his family’s fortune. In the sequel, Artemis Fowl: The Arctic Incident, he allies with the Fairies to rescue his father from the Russian Mafia. The series introduces Artemis as an anti-hero and the fairies’ enemy, but as the series progresses, he assists the Fairies in resolving conflicts with worldwide ramifications, with Artemis’s character developing and changing throughout the chronology. The series concluded with Artemis Fowl: The Last Guardian, released July 2012.
In 2001 plans were announced for a film adaptation of the series. Miramax Films was named as purchasing the film rights, with Lawrence Guterman signed to direct. In 2003 Colfer stated that a screenplay had been finalized and that casting was due to start the same year, but expressed skepticism over whether or not this would come to pass. Colfer also revealed the film was in pre-production. The film remained in development and was assumed to be in development hell until 2011, when it was reported that Jim Sheridan was interested in directing the movie.
In July 2013, Walt Disney Pictures announced that an Artemis Fowl film covering the events of the first and second novels of the series would be produced by Disney and Harvey Weinstein of The Weinstein Company, with the screenplay developed by Michael Goldenberg (Peter Pan, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix). Robert De Niro and Jane Rosenthal signed onto the project as executive producers.
On September 1, 2015, Variety reported that Kenneth Branagh had been hired to direct the film for Disney, with Irish playwright Conor McPherson as screenwriter and Judy Hofflund as an executive producer. Eoin Colfer confirmed this in a video to Artemis Fowl Confidential, and spoke with RTE Radio 1 about meeting Branagh several times to discuss this prior to the announcement.
