Fireball gets a visit from Uncle Joe Benson…

You know Uncle Joe, right? I mean, this man’s a legend…

Since the 80’s Uncle Joe Benson has been the #1 Rock n’ Roll Radio DJ here on LA’s KLOS 95.5! He’s personally spoken with virtually every major rockstar on the planet, except for only 5. “C’mon Joe, you gotta be slippin…”

If you listen to 95.5 KLOS daily, you’ll hear Uncle Joe’s awesome deep voice as he lays down the cool Rock n’ Roll lowdown. Now, it takes a serious man to lay down the lowdown. I mean,… what does that even mean?!!! It means that Uncle Joe is “the man” when it comes to Rock n’ Roll. And… he’s a very serious “car guy.”

So, Joe came to the shop and we hung out and perused cool cars. We even got a sound bite from him regarding the top secret “AUTOTRADER CLASSICS REDSTER” Project. It’s a…       …yea, right. Like I’m gonna spill the beans? “Move on, move on, move on” as they say in Blade Runner… I even introduced him to our twin security doods, Oscar and Oscar2. (They didn’t mind that we had our hands on their butts…)

We had a blast having Joe over and will be doing some very cool stuff together. There’s even a possibility he might join me at the Apple Store Event on the 24th. If you want him, shout out…

Thanks so much, Joe!!! LA loves ya!!

PRESIDENTIAL LIMO, Celebs, Ferrari & AUTOPOP EXPANSION!

Good morning you BUMBLING BUTTHEADS and welcome to today’s AUTOMOTIVE POP CULTURE! And regardless of what Political side you’re on, the CADILLAC PRESIDENTIAL LIMO is Badass and Fireball has now busted out a New Official SKETCH! This Limo can do a lot of SECRET THINGS, but what’s one extra thing it should have to take care a business?

DID YOU KNOW?? “The Beast” Limo is heavily armored, bulletproof, and blast-resistant, built to withstand a variety of attacks. The windows are 3 inches thick, and the armor is around 8 inches thick. The doors themselves are estimated to be one foot thick and weigh as much as a Boeing 757’s cabin doors. It’s equipped with advanced features like night-vision, tear gas firing capabilities, and even door handles that can be electrified to deter intruders. It even has smoke screens and an oil slick dispenser! While presidential cars have included other brands like Lincoln, since the 1980s, Cadillacs have been the preferred presidential limousine.

And meanwhile, ON PLANET FIREBALL… The Ball meets up with KTLA News Weatherman MARK KRISKI, launches the Official MAGNUS WALKER Coloring Book at the Petersen Museum to a crowd of over 500, scoots a 1988 FERRARI 328 back in the day and hangs with Pinstriper STYLES & UNCLE JOE BENSON at the shop in Burbank. CVS was over 100K Square Feet of Cool Cars!

All-New CITY OF MALIBU COLORING BOOK launches in July, but there’s SO MUCH MORE COMING that Coloring Books will be BACK IN FORCE! It’s a TAKEOVER EXPANSION coming to Museums, Gift Shops, Surf Shops & Hotels!! What would YOUR Coloring Book look like??

Check out the PRESIDENTIAL BOOTY in the Garage now with CANVAS, TEES & MUGS, and don’t forget to hit RODS & ROSES this weekend with Fireball ON THE LOOSE!

BIG BUS, Foose, Caitlyn, Reagan, Monsters, THE CAR & SKETCH!

Good Morning you QUARTERMASTERS of QWOOL and welcome to today’s AUTOMOTIVE POP CULTURE! Let’s zip back to 1976 for the insanely ridiculous film THE BIG BUS!! Remember this one?? Although Fireball’s SKETCH isn’t as long, the BUS is BADASS and belongs on your Garage Wall!

DID YOU KNOW?? The Cyclops BIG BUS bus was built for around $250,000, which is equivalent to about $1 million in 2022. The bus weighed 75 tons, making it a true spectacle on screen. The four rear wheels were five feet high and weighed 1,100 pounds each. Although it was a real, massive vehicle, its internal features like the swimming pool and bowling alley were filmed on sound stages! Ruined!!

And meanwhile, ON PLANET FIREBALL… The Ball hangs with CHIP FOOSE and UNCLE JOE BENSON at Disneyland, CAITLYN JENNER at the Rodeo Drive Concours and recently with JENN McDOUGALL at the REAGAN LIBRARY Cars & Coffee! See the FULL SHOTS here!

Today’s FEATURED ART from Fireball is THE CRAWLING EYE, MAXIMILLIAN from “The Black Hole” and THE CAR!! Check out the Canvas Prints & MUGSHOTS!

TANGO & CASH, Malibu Pad Gone, Oscars & CAR SHOW SAFARI!

Welcome to AUTOMOTIVE POP CULTURE!! It’s Monday and Fireball’s whipsnapped an all-new SKETCH for you guys! Today, it’s TANGO & CASH!! In Hollywood, the saying goes… “The Movie May Suck, but the CARS are always cool!” (Doesn’t mean that T&C was bad, but you get our drift.) But who doesn’t love a COOL CUSTOM TRUCK, yo!

DID YOU KNOW?? Tango & Cash was plagued by production issues, including a fired director of photography, a fired director, and a re-edited script. The original casting choice was Patrick Swayze, but he chose Road House instead, so Kurt Russell was cast! Jack Palance was unhappy with his role in the movie, saying he had three scenes with Stallone but they were all cut. (Bummer, ’cause that dood was badass…)

Also in today’s BADASS BLAST… Fireball’s Malibu Pad IS GONE, thanks to the Palisades Fire. Two doors down is Adam Carolla and his survived. Over a thousand Fireball Vlogs were filmed there, but life goes on now in the 805… and it’s awesome. Live your Life, Pivot, and Keep Going. Things always GET BETTER.

Fireball hit Peter Kappen’s Cars & Coffee (VISUALIZE VENTURA Photo Studio) and the Donuts were rockin.’ BEST OF SHOW Episode of Cool Cars is coming this week! Where do the silly big OSCARS come from? Fireball and Uncle Joe Benson know the Top Secret Location! Plus, BEHIND THE SCENES of CHiPs gets a cool Fireball Mug and don’t forget about CORVETTE SUMMER, too!

Today’s CAR SHOW SAFARI takes the boys to the Automotive Ranch of DWAYNE BOWER up in Ojai! AMAZING!! Watch HERE in Facebook!

GORT, Gilligan, Flintstones, Celebs, Car Shows & The Future!

Welcome to AUTOMOTIVE POP CULTURE DAILY!! The week is wrapping up and the question still remains… ARE ALIENS REAL? Well, maybe yes, maybe no… but Fireball’s GORT MASTERPRINT might just be the next best thing! And should Fireball do the Spaceship from THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL? We think so…

DID YOU KNOW?? The spaceship design from the film was inspired by architect Frank Lloyd Wright’s 1939 Johnson Wax Headquarters, the character Klaatu’s name is a subtle Christ analogy, the iconic line “Klaatu barada nikto” was actually a made-up alien phrase, and the film’s original title was “Farewell to the Master.” Based on a short story, it was adapted for the movie and was heavily influenced by the anxieties of the Cold War era regarding nuclear weapons, with the alien visitor essentially acting as a warning against human destruction.

MORE ART!! Check out these cool MASTERPRINTS of THE FLINTSTONES, GILLIGAN’S ISLAND & GET SMART, all in the garage now! Today’s CAR SHOW CELEBS include PETE BROCK, BRUCE MEYER, UNCLE JOE BENSON & THE PEP BOYS and the boys of GAS!

Also in today’s SPACEY BLAST… Fireball checks’ out a hand-built ELECTRIC GO KART from buddy, SHANE POINDEXTER, a Wacko SHORTY VAN, LA Auto Show SIGNING and the car from SORCERER’S APPRENTICE!!

And lastly… great shot of the Flying Police Car from BACK TO THE FUTURE 2 by Ted7 at the Pete! Us wants…

Today’s BEST OF SHOW is a classic from Malibu DREAMLAND and EXOTICS before the Fires! WATCH BELOW or on YOUTUBE!

BUT DID YOU KNOW?? Initially, ’T.J. Hooker’ was planned to be a reboot of ‘The Rookies,’ and T.J. actually stands for Thomas Jefferson, the name of Shatner’s character Sergeant Thomas Jefferson “T. J.” Hooker. Plus, ‘Star Trek’ fans would have been shocked to see Spock appear in the episode ‘Vengeance is Mine’!

Peeps of The LA Auto Show…

Press Days were filled with cool peeps. My coordinator Robbin and I hung out with Ryan from West Coast Customs, KLOS’ Uncle Joe Benson, Newsdood Kent Shocknek, Honda Chief Designerand all around wildman Dave Marek (and his wicked boots) and Disney Legend Bob Gur (Designer of the Monorail). Wild to see such great talent in one place.

Be sure to check out the Super Mario Karts built by WCC…
