Fireball gets a visit from Uncle Joe Benson…
You know Uncle Joe, right? I mean, this man’s a legend…
Since the 80’s Uncle Joe Benson has been the #1 Rock n’ Roll Radio DJ here on LA’s KLOS 95.5! He’s personally spoken with virtually every major rockstar on the planet, except for only 5. “C’mon Joe, you gotta be slippin…”
If you listen to 95.5 KLOS daily, you’ll hear Uncle Joe’s awesome deep voice as he lays down the cool Rock n’ Roll lowdown. Now, it takes a serious man to lay down the lowdown. I mean,… what does that even mean?!!! It means that Uncle Joe is “the man” when it comes to Rock n’ Roll. And… he’s a very serious “car guy.”
So, Joe came to the shop and we hung out and perused cool cars. We even got a sound bite from him regarding the top secret “AUTOTRADER CLASSICS REDSTER” Project. It’s a… …yea, right. Like I’m gonna spill the beans? “Move on, move on, move on” as they say in Blade Runner… I even introduced him to our twin security doods, Oscar and Oscar2. (They didn’t mind that we had our hands on their butts…)
We had a blast having Joe over and will be doing some very cool stuff together. There’s even a possibility he might join me at the Apple Store Event on the 24th. If you want him, shout out…

J.” Hooker. Plus, ‘Star Trek’ fans would have been shocked to see Spock appear in the episode ‘Vengeance is Mine’!

Peeps of The LA Auto Show…
Press Days were filled with cool peeps. My coordinator Robbin and I hung out with Ryan from West Coast Customs, KLOS’ Uncle Joe Benson, Newsdood Kent Shocknek, Honda Chief Designerand all around wildman Dave Marek (and his wicked boots) and Disney Legend Bob Gur (Designer of the Monorail). Wild to see such great talent in one place.

Yea, I’m stressin.’ This is the roughest job I ever had to do. I mean, c’mon. The hot sweats, chills, feverish cooldaddys and Hershey’s kisses being thrown at me left and right…
A HUGE day a SEMA with interviews from Uncle Joe Benson and Dan Woods from Speed’s “Chop, Cut, Rebuild” to World Famous Styles Striper, Matt Farah and Dwayne Garrett of GH Wheels. Insane day, plus… girls galore. Everywhere. And it was harsh having to interview in these supa cool Drag Chairs. I’m gonna need a break… sometime in the future. I mean, not now, mind you. Maybe some time next week or after.
Tomorrow? After SEMA is a big Fireball Bash at the Cosmo. This is so retarded…
Fireball Birthday BASH goes off…
Big thanks to everyone you had a chance to attend the Birthday BASH! We had a great time among the hundreds of other who came to the Will Rogers State Park. The food, friends were fun was a blast. And since I’m still learning how to use the new SONY camera that Kathie gave me, these early shots were all I took before the memory ran out. Forgot to get a new card, doh!

So, off I went yesterday to the Grand Opening of the Pep Boys Speed Shop. A cool event featuring a new section in Pep Boys just for serious modders. And they’ve got it goin’ off…
Hung out with George Barris, Uncle Joe Benson from KLOS and a host of cool dudes and dudettes who love cars and rippin’ ’em to shreds. Be sure to head to a Pep Boys in your area to check out the new digs. Looks like I’ll be heading there with KING TAHOE soon… Sweet!
