If FIRE were a personality in FILM, she’s be THIS…

In the grand theater of existence, few characters are as captivating and formidable as FIRE itself. Like a protagonist in an epic saga, fire possesses a personality that is both mesmerizing and primal, driven by an insatiable need to burn hot and consume everything in its path. In countless movies and TV shows, from EMERGENCY to BACKDRAFT, fire is portrayed as a force to be reckoned with, possessing its own unique arc of life and eventual extinction.

Today’s new SKETCH with the EMERGENCY SQUAD 51 embodies FIRE as this character. Beautiful, powerful, yet DEADLY. Check it out IN THE GARAGE!

At its core, fire embodies the essence of passion and intensity. Much like a hero driven by a noble quest, fire blazes forth with an unwavering determination, fueled by the energy of both the living and the inanimate. Its flickering flames dance with an otherworldly grace, drawing in all who dare to behold its mesmerizing beauty.

In the classic TV Show EMERGENCY, fire takes center stage as both a destructive force and a symbol of hope. It challenges the brave firefighters who battle tirelessly to contain its fury, pushing them to their limits and testing their resolve. Yet, amidst the chaos and danger, fire also serves as a beacon of courage, inspiring acts of selflessness and heroism in the face of adversity.

Similarly, in BACKDRAFT, fire is personified as a cunning adversary, lurking in the shadows and waiting to strike. Like a complex antagonist, it feeds on fear and uncertainty, consuming everything in its path with relentless ferocity. But as the story unfolds, fire also reveals its vulnerable side, its destructive nature ultimately leading to its own demise.

Just as every character in film must face their own journey, so too must fire confront its inevitable fate. As the flames grow weaker and the embers dim, it is a reminder of the transient nature of all things. Yet, even in its final moments, fire leaves behind a legacy that cannot be extinguished—a testament to its indomitable spirit and enduring power.

In the end, fire is more than just a physical phenomenon—it is a symbol of transformation and renewal. Like a PHOENIX rising from the ashes, it embodies the eternal cycle of life and death, reminding us of the endless possibilities that lie within the flames. So the next time you gaze into a crackling fire, remember the personality that lies within, and marvel at the timeless tale it has to tell. And don’t forget to follow Fireball on INSTAGRAM!

There I was, minding my own business back in 2024 when my Corvette became to pooped to pop. I was driving through the outback in AussieTown, trying to avoid the occasional Kangaroo and UFO’s overhead. This was 60 years ago. And since there was no one out there to help me… I just left the car there and started walking. And that was the beginning of my Outback Adventure… But that… is another story.

TODAY… it’s an OUTBACK CORVETTE SKETCH, not to be confused with the Outback Steakhouse, my friends. Hope you had a GREAT SUNDAY!

The amazing BLADE RUNNER Spinner gets CRUSHED…

Back in the mid-80’s, I was a student at Art Center College. My mentor was SYD MEAD, which I had known for many years previously. But he guided my experience at the school, letting me know what WAS and hat WASN’T important. Syd was one the the top Concept Artists in the world at the time with many film, television and private sector clients.

One film, and his most famous was BLADE RUNNER. (See his original painting below.) He worked on it in 1981 and I spent many hours by his side learning the ropes as he painted. But in 1985, Syd gave me a call with a problem.. He had acquired the main scale model of the SPINNER directly from the film… and recently, someone broke into his home in Hollywood and took a baseball bat to it. It was in bad shape…

So, with the shop at Art Center at by beck and call, I took the model from him and began a restoration… along with all the other work I had from classes. It was a lot. It took about 3 months to piece back, rebuild and create custom fabrications to the model without the school finding out that I was doing a personal project. But the result was awesome and it came out great! Syd was very happy with the result and he put it back on display.

One of my favorite designs of Syd’s vehicles, I sketched it for his new Coloring Book here at B&N as well as got the Spinner in the GARAGE with a fun shot of Rachel! If you love the car as much as I do, HIT IT to see what we have. Super cool…

Starship ENTERPRISE SKETCH arrives at the Fireball Spacedock

Have always loved the Enterprise since I first saw the show in the late 60’s. We’d all sit in the den and marvel at the Green Women, crazy planets and of course, THE SHIP! It was all about Adventure and things we had NEVER SEEN BEFORE. But here’s a fun fact about the show…

My dad, Anthony Lawrence was the first writer that Gene Roddenberry picked to write the Pilot Episode in 1966! Unfortunately, Fireball Pop was writing Bonanza and other shows at the time, so Gene Wrote “THE CAGE” himself. Over the years, he asked Pop to write other episodes, but he was always too busy with Hawaii 5-O or the plethora of Cop Shows that were on.

The Original ENTERPRISE is now available in the Fireball Tim Garage! Sure, it doesn’t have wheels, but it’s WAY COOL! Check it out here!

DID YOU KNOW?? The model’s principal designer, Walter “Matt” Jefferies, worked with concepts provided by Gene Roddenberry. He reviewed hundreds of science fiction magazines, dating back to 1931, to gather ideas about what he wanted Star Trek‘s main vessel to look like. Despite the research, he was more confident in what he did not want than what he did want!

Elegant, Sexy and BADASS MUSCLE is today’s BEST OF SHOW…

Today’s BEST OF SHOW is a Hot Wheels RAT ROD…
