Father’s Day @ RIDEMAKERZ… Coolness.
Well, …I thought it might be a bit busier on Father’s Day at RIDEMAKERZ in Downtown Disney… BUT IT WAS TOTALLY OUTTA CONTROL!!!
The line to buy cars carved right outta the store and Chip’s and my signing line went way outta site. It was like a queue line in the park with a 90 minute wait! Wow, it was nuts, but one of the best things for me besides all the great kiddies was… I got to hang out with UNCLE JOE BENSON from KLOS. You know Uncle Joe? You probably listen to him every morning and have for 30 years!! He’s one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet.
Wups. Sorry, Joe. My bad. I just revealed that you’ve been talking up a storm on the radio… FOREVER!!! But he’s a huge car guy, so what do you expect? Passion!
In the 5 hours that we signed, I never saw the same kind of car twice. They were all as different as the kidz! But we signed, arms, shoes, shirts and camera flashes too! It was wild! We even brought in our Tattoo Artist, Bryn, for some cool RZ Tatts!
Thanks to all of you who came down and made MY experience something I’ll never forget for Father’s Day. Truly appreciated…

Well, sort of. It’s not easy being a Fireball. When I was a kid, my attention to detail got me into a lot of trouble. But today, things work quite a bit smoother…
It’s FATHER’S DAY. I wish all you Fathers the very best for today… and ALL days. Being a Dad is the life of danger, but every minute is worth it. A Father’s code is to Protect and Love. And we love every minute of it, especially when the sharks are out trying to cause trouble. We get to kick some tail and you know how guys like that….
Off to RIDEMAKERZ at Downtown Disney this morning again. I’m there from 10-3pm. It’s BUY ONE, GET ONE FREE FOR POP! Hope to see some of you Dads. GOOD ON YA!

KARATE KID… Review… Slammin!’
It’s been a while since I’ve seen a really good movie. Just seems to be a lot of surface level gobbly gook. But The Karate Kid makes up for all that. Although it follows the main line of the original, it also creates a whole new identity. Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan are both excellent and carry the film easily.
Based in China, the locations themselves are stunning and the message equally thought provoking and passionate. And why doesn’t Hollywood always make a movie like this? Because many stay on the surface and are afraid to go deeper. Fear. “If I green light this movie and it tanks, there goes my career.” It’s a bummer.
Karate Kid 2 is already on the war path. If it’s half as good as this one, it’ll be great. But for now… go see this one. You won’t regret it.
FERRARI 612 GTO Concept… badass.
Leave it to a non-Ferrari designer to come up with something spectacular…
Something happens when you get paid to do what you do if you’re not careful. You can lose your passion for the one thing that got you there in the first place. So, don’t lose it. The guy who did these concepts… loves Ferraris. And it shows.
Spotlight: PREDATOR DESIGN…
The only thing better than car design is ALIEN DESIGN. And here’s an alien I’ve always thought was cool. The PREDATOR. I even did a piece way back in the day that included one.
Successful design is about completion. Have all the questions been answered? Look, attitude, stance, aggression, tactics, movement, weaponry. It’s a fun process I’ve done for film. Here’s a bunch.
This is for the upcoming Robert Rodriguez film. He’s excellent at completion. Looking forward to seeing what’s he’s done, but as usual… the Predators need a car. 😉
SNAP! Ridemakerz Grand Opening HITS BIG!!
Wow, what an explosive event! Ridemakerz pulled no punches on this one with a spectacular display of the coolest buildable rides possible. Chip and I got to hang with the real stars… the kids! And they built some of the greatest looking cars ever.
There was so much activity that you literally didn’t know where to turn next! It was all out NUTS!!! And the folks of Disney did such a great job of support that everything went smooth as can be. Thanks guys!!
We had fantastic visits from BIG BROTHERS AND BIG SISTERS of Orange County, Don Dixon from AutoTrader Classics, Robert Cannon from AUTONET-TV, Uncle Joe Benson from KLOS, Don Burnside from WHITE ROOF RADIO and tons of Disney Family Fans!

Weeekend Warriors blanket the Bu…
Just goin’ up into town from my house I see tons of cool beasts. Problem is, is that I need a 200 car garage ’cause I want to take them all home and play. Yea, some for sale, some for snaggin.’ About the only thing I do is go to CVS and pick up a couple of Hot Wheels, though. Unless….
It’s Monday. And being Monday it means the start of the week. So get out there and do some serious good damage. Get shots of cool rides and show me some. Post them to my Facebook Page. I want to see that you guys are out there diggin’ cars. Show me something I won’t forget!
