MIAMI VICE, ComicCon, Scouts, R2 Holidays & Cars That Matter

What’s up you STOOPID STOOGES and welcome to today’s AUTOMOTIVE POP CULTURE!! The Holidays will be startin’ soon and to celebrate… MIAMI VICE ART, BABY!! Check out Fireball’s DAYTONA & TESTAROSSA Ferraris as Mugshots & MORE!

DID YOU KNOW?? The Ferraris in Miami Vice were initially Corvette-based replicas of a Daytona Spider, a situation that led to Ferrari filing a lawsuit for trademark infringement. To resolve this, Ferrari provided two 1986 Testarossas for free, with the condition that the fake Daytona be destroyed on-screen, which happened in the season 3 premiere. The two Testarossas were originally black but were repainted white for better visibility in night scenes, and a separate Pantera-based replica car was built for stunt work.

And meanwhile, ON PLANET FIREBALL… The Ball will be joining Comic Con Expert BRENDAN ALLEN and Toy Experts STEVE JOHNSTON & JOHNNY JIMENEZ JR from The Vegas Toy Shack and ONE OF US COMICS on Youtube for an upcoming Podcast surrounding Automotive Pop Culture, Comic Cons and Fireball’s upcoming involvement with the film “GIMME MY MONEY!”

Also in today’s post… Fireball and the car he did for SORCERER’S APPRENTICE, Santa & R2D2 for the Holidays, the STREET TUNER CHALLENGE MINI may be heading to Auction and Fireball does “CARS THAT MATTER” with Robert Rosswith the Green Hornet Black Beauty!

DID YOU KNOW?? The Volkswagen bus (also known as the Type 2, Kombi or Bulli) is that its first engine was only 25 horsepower, the same as a Beetle. And to give it enough torque to move its heavier weight, engineers used a special type of rear axle called portal axles, which were originally developed for a wartime vehicle to provide more ground clearance. It wasn’t created by a Volkswagen engineer, but by a Dutch importer. While touring the Wolfsburg factory, he saw a makeshift parts-hauler and sketched out an idea that would eventually become the iconic Type 2 Van. Inspired by the Plattenwagen’s efficiency, Ben Pon drew a rough sketch in his notebook of a box-shaped van with the driver sitting in the very front. Though it took some time for the busy factory to act on the idea, Pon’s original sketch became the foundation for the famous Volkswagen Type 2… which went into production in 1950.

What’s up you QUARTERMASTERS of QWOOL and welcome to today’s AUTOMOTIVE POP CULTURE! Let’s start off with some all-new MAGNUM P.I. & MAGNUS WALKER 277 Garage Coolness! Brand New Swag, baby!

DID YOU KNOW?? Tom Selleck’s iconic Detroit Tigers cap from Magnum P.I. is now in the Smithsonian, and he famously passed on playing Indiana Jones due to his Magnum commitment. He performed his own stunts on the show, despite a recurring back condition, and used the series to bring a bit of his personality to the character, a sentiment echoed in his choice of the hat. His first wife, Jacqueline Ray, and second wife, Jillie Mack, both made guest appearances on the series!

And meanwhile, ON PLANET FIREBALL… SUCCESS at last night’s VISUALIZE VENTURA “ART OF CAR” Exhibit brought out several hundred guests from all over SoCal. Here’s few shots from the setup before the crowd arrived! More great shots coming, plus WONDERCON!!

LOST IN SPACE, Celebs, Sketches & Tomorrow’s ART & CAR EVENT

What’s up you PEEKNUCKLE PUNCHERS and welcome to today’s AUTOMOTIVE POP CULTURE! We celebrate the end of the week with Fireball’s LOST IN SPACE Triptych Art from inside the GARAGE! Check out the goods or SEARCH your favorite Movie & TV Car!

DID YOU KNOW?? Irwin Allen’s Lost in Space started as Space Family Robinson, with a pilot using Bernard Herrmann’s music from The Day the Earth Stood Still to save time and money.Composer John Williams created the show’s iconic theme. The elaborate set for the Jupiter 2 was the most expensive on television at the time. Character actor Jonathan Harris, who played Dr. Smith, was the last cast member hired and single-handedly created Dr. Smith’s flamboyant, cowardly persona, often rewriting his lines for the character.

And meanwhile, ON PLANET FIREBALL… The Ball attends a CADILLAC Event on the lot at the WB, hits the BIG DOG GARAGE to peruse mounds of coolness, scopes the Bikes for JUDGE DREDD at the Top Secret Picture Car Warehouse, ponders the next car for the JOHN WICK SERIES and hangs with the illustrious JANE SEYMOUR at his Art Show in Malibu back in 2023. (Yes, the 805 is about to explode with ART & CARS starting tomorrow’s VISUALIZE VENTURA Event!)

NEW WEDNESDAY WAGON ART, Cars That Matter & Car Show Safari!

What’s up you EVIL EVISERATORS and welcome to today’s AUTOMOTIVE POP CULTURE!! It’s a dark and scary one today with THE PONTIAC LIMOUSINE from the super hot TV Show WEDNESDAY!! Cool Mugs, Canvas and Tees are ready when you are!

DID YOU KNOW?? The limousine driven by Lurch in the Netflix series Wednesday is actually not a real vintage car but a custom build based on a much newer, more robust vehicle. They used the body of a 1938 Pontiac, which they stretched and modified, and placed it on the chassis and powertrain of a Mercedes-Benz G-Class, or G-Wagon! This hybrid build gave them a vehicle that looked authentically gothic and pre-war but could reliably navigate the rugged, off-road filming locations in Romania. For the sake of production, the car was built with multiple removable parts. The license plate also reads “New Jersey,” a nod to Addams Family creator Charles Addams, who was born and raised there.

And meanwhile, ON PLANET FIREBALL… New Episodes of CARS THAT MATTER with Robert Ross are appearing on IG & FB now, but hit Fireball’s FB Page to watch the latest covering the movie car from “GREASE!” A snap of the Ball and Kim hitting the Rails at Sunburst in Santa Paula, Lady Penelope’s Pink Beauty Art from THUNDERBIRDS and VISUALIZE VENTURA is this Saturday Night!

Lastly, an all-new episode of CAR SHOW SAFARI hits with the boys chatting Ventura Nationals, this weekend’s SHOWS, NEW MOVIES & LILY!! Man, we looooove Lily…

FIREBALL PRODUCES NEW FILM, Count Chocula & Flintstones!!

What’s up you SLABBOURIOUS SISSIES and welcome to today’s AUTOMOTIVE POP CULTURE! JUST ANNOUNCED!! Fireball’s got a new film coming out called “GIMMEE MY MONEY” to which he is Executive Producing with amazing Producer Shari Hamrick. And it’s an awesome 80’s-Style Action Flick! The Trailer will be premiering at this weekend’s VISUALIZE VENTURA EVENT! Press Release coming soon and it all starts at 6pm, so don’t miss it!

DID YOU KNOW?? The 1980s revolutionized action films with a reliance on practical effects and new technologies, creating influential movies like Die Hard and Predator. Stars such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, and Harrison Ford rose to prominence, while films like Raiders of the Lost Ark pushed the boundaries of the genre. The decade also saw the rise of influential subgenres and the lasting impact of special effects, though digital effects remained in their infancy.

And meanwhile, ON PLANET FIREBALL… revisiting some of Fireball’s CARS today from THE FLINTSTONES, BATMAN and a fun new SUPERHOME! This one… is Fireball Superhome #5 south of DTLA… on a hill… well, actually there’s no hill there unless you’re wearing the special Fireball INVISORAY GLASSES! If you have a pair of those, then you’ll see the turnoff to head up there! Property includes 6 SubLevel Garages for 26 vehicles, Salt Water Amino Acid Pool and and ICECuzzi with a Dynamatic ExpandoKitchen. (Kinda like the Kitchen in the Jetsons and BTTF mixed together.) Palm Trees are actually Rocket Silo Ports (Non-Functional right now, but cool.) Oh, and a Pantry full of 22 Vintage Cereals!! Yum.

Have you purchased one of Fireball’s Canvas Prints? Live in SoCal? Bring it to a show and he’ll Scribblebedoo on it!! Check out the SCHEDULE!

COUNT CHOCULA MUGSHOTS ARE IN!! And they’re frikkin’ bloody awesome! Snag one, fill it fulla Cereal and have at it! Also, check out Fireball’s rendition of Ken Okuyama’s KODE 61 CONCEPT and the KNIGHT RIDER 2030 ART! So cool!

NEW MISTER ROGERS, Events, Diecast, Jeanie, Jetsons & Barris

What’s up you STELLAR STOOGES and welcome to today’s AUTOMOTIVE POP CULTURE! Let’s head across town on Fireball’s all-new MISTER ROGERS NEIGHBORHOOD TROLLEY Art!! And of course, (as most things here in the Garage…) it’s been Hot Rodded!

BUT DID YOU KNOW?? The original Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood trolley was handcrafted in 1967 by Bill Ferguson for the Canadian program “Mister Rogers” and later served as the iconic trolley for “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.” Mister Rogers was inspired to include a trolley by his childhood, having ridden trolleys with his father. Children wrote to him asking why no people were on the trolley, which he explained was to encourage them to visualize themselves riding it. The trolley traveled about 5,000 miles a year, and the actual trolley is now a permanent exhibit at the Fred Rogers Center in Latrobe, Pennsylvania.

And meanwhile, ON PLANET FIREBALL… So many events coming between now and the Holidays! And Fireball is GO, GO, GO!! Up next is tomorrow’s VENTURA NATIONALS at the Ventura Fairgrounds, so look for his Cowboy Hat as he peruses over 5000 Cars including Hot Rods, Rat Rods, Trucks, Muscle, Lowriders and MORE! Plus, THE HOT WHEELS LEGENDS TOUR is coming too!

Today’s MUGSHOTS include “I DREAM OF JEANIE” and some of our BEST SELLERS! Just TYPE YOUR FAVE in the SEARCH! And be sure to check out this Classic BEST OF SHOW Episode with KUSTOMIZER GEORGE BARRIS on Facebook!

See ya at the show, folks!!

ALL-NEW AUTOPOP ART, Shows, French Fries, Bazooka & More!

What’s up you RIDICULOUS ROH ROH’S and welcome to today’s AUTOMOTIVE POP CULTURE! It’s a crazy time here in the Garage with Art and Fireball’s been bustin’ out the Badassery! Today, he launches TWO NEW PIECES with THE BATMAN V SUPERMAN BATMOBILE and the 1971 Chevy Nova from Quenten Tarantino’s DEATH PROOF!! Both now in the Garage on Mugs, Canvas and Tees! Let the Battles begin…

DID YOU KNOW?? The Death Proof Chevy Nova was a heavily modified 1971 model built to withstand extreme damage, featuring a roll cage, racing seat, and a powerful 383 stroker engine, making it a true stunt car despite its deceptive appearance. While the matte-black car with its signature skull graphic became Stuntman Mike’s iconic vehicle, only one Nova was used for close-ups and chasing, with other cars being destroyed in stunts or used for parts. After filming, the primary “picture car” was sold to Kurt Russell’s stunt driver, who then gave it to his son as a first car. Wait, what??

And meanwhile, ON PLANET FIREBALL… Be sure to check out Fireball’s upcoming SCHEDULE to see where he’ll be next! But here he is with superfan GILLIGAN (Two-Shirt Tommy’s Lil Buddy!), a great shot of HEATHER LOCKLEAR from what show? Car Show Master SPENCER SEIBOLD will be making Pancake Bacon Sandwiches at the upcoming VISUALIZE VENTURA Car & Art Show… featuring 5 Automotive Titans like PEP WILLIAMS!

Plus, Fireball, Tommy and Mark Stehrenberger hit BUNNIN CHEVROLET in Fillmore for a bite and Mark pulls some extra Fries! Did they realize who was having lunch there?? Legend. And lastly… Fireball Squeeze KIM continues to make Car Shows more Glam with amazing Smiles! Need to feel REALLY GOOD? Visit KIM here at THE DAY SPA!

INCREDIBLES, Indy, Scary Coloring Book, Bats & Hot Wheels!

What’s up you PORKALICIOUS PUNKS and welcome to today’s AUTOMOTIVE POP CULTURE!! All-New Art coming this week, but let’s get the spike-ball rollin’ with Fireball’s Incredicar from THE INCREDIBLES and an INDY Tuk Tuk from the last Adventure! Got an idea for a SKETCH?? LEAVE A COMMENT!

DID YOU KNOW?? The Incredible’s sleek, powerful design is a clear homage to classic spy and superhero cars from the 1960s, most notably the iconic Batmobile from the 1966 Batman TV series. Director Brad Bird drew inspiration from spy thrillers like the James Bond films and the animated TV series Jonny Quest when designing the overall retro-futuristic aesthetic. The car is formally known as a “Mobile Evasion Vehicle.” The DVD extras for the first film describe it as having “onboard weaponry, danger finder, evasion countermeasures,” and other spy-car gadgetry.

And meanwhile, ON PLANET FIREBALL… an all-new HALLOWEEN HOLLYWOOD MONSTERS Coloring Book has launched with 20 Classic Creatures AND WHAT THEY DRIVE! An amazing Collection and super fun for kids this Holiday Season! Check it out!!
