DID YOU KNOW?? Bob Gurr is a legendary Imagineer who designed iconic Disney attractions like the Matterhorn Bobsleds and the Monorails, and also the original vehicles for the Autopia and Haunted Mansion’s Doom Buggies. Beyond Disney, he designed the King Kong animatronic for Universal Studios, the flying UFO for the 1984 Olympics, effects for Michael Jackson’s Victory Tour, and consulted on Jurassic Park. Gurr, now in his 90’s, remains active, giving Disney history tours, mentoring, and still working on new projects to this day.

IN THE NEWS… Hollywood Icon ROBERT REDFORD passes away to join PAUL NEWMAN on their next journey.

Robert Redford was a car enthusiast who loved Porsches, particularly the mid-engined Porsche 904 GTS, which he owned for nearly a decade. He was known for his legendary prank wars with fellow actor Paul Newman, which often involved car-related pranks, including Redford once famously gifting Newman a wrecked Porsche. Redford also drove various Porsches in films, such as the “Bahama Yellow” Porsche 911 with a ski rack in the 1969 movie DOWNHILL RACER.
